The Fox On 6th — Restaurant in Calgary

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever ate.

Ordered a Chicken and Waffle sandwich slider to start. Waffle was cold, wet, and hard. It was also under sauced which did not help. When the server came I let her know how bad it was and all she said was "Yeah, im not sure if they cook them fresh or not."

For the main course my two friends got pink undercooked chicken sandwiches and I received the fox burger.

The fox burger has a beer cheese sauce on it which has the gritty texture of sandpaper. Near the 4th bite it started to make me gag.

When I brought it up to the server she said "I know its inconsistent since they make it every day so its never the same".

I twice explained how horrid the food was with no compensation or discount even offered.

The two gentlemen should have a server instead of both trying to run the bar, take orders, and clean tables. Both men had sheets with hand drawn tables and seating, looked like a 3 year old drew them! For the amount some people drank, they should have been under the table, which leads me to believe the booze was watered down. Overall, friendliness was good. However, when paying, it appears that some people were getting double billed because of two different sheets of paper that were supposed to be combined into one. Sorry guys, wish I could be more positive about...

If I could give negative stars, I probably would. We went on a Friday night and their special was Prime Rib. It was later, but the waitress assured us that "medium rare" was available. When my meal came, it was well done roast beef, and the au jus was essentially wallpaper paste. Also the batter on the Fish & Chips was still raw inside. The waiter apologized profusely and said we should come back tomorrow for the Salsa Dancing. He did give 25% off of the bill, but should really have considered "comping" both entrees. Kind of poor service for people staying...
