I’m not sure if i just got a bad one compared to the raving reviews. This is just my personal opinion with the product I was received.

I bought the cold cut banh mi, heavy quotation on the banh mi. There was one thin slice of meat. One. As you can see in the photo. There were onions? I wasn’t sure when onions were introduced in banh mi’s but that took me by surprise. A whole lot of carrots. No pâté but instead i got a lot of mayo???? Service was even more disappointing than the food itself. There was a lot attitude Due to the fact I was unable to product smaller bills and was complaining about me in cantonese (yes i understood it fyi).

Again these are my personal opinion, so take it how you will. But I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless you like to pay $7 for a carrot sandwich with a whole lot of mayo. This was not a banh mi and i will die...

Cranky owner. I remember these subs used to be good. Ordered 2 assorted. She decided to pack the veggies separately, and I told her no need, just put them in. She got frustrated and mumbled at me. I'm confused, as I didn't ask for them to be separated. That's fine, she's probably just having a bad day. Still left a tip.

Now onto taste. Disappointed in the assorted subs, a thin slice of ham in the assorted. May as well be a veggie sub. The onions in the photo are from one half only. Carrots aren't even pickled. At this point, the only thing saving this sub is the pate.

I decided to grab some lunch in the downtown core before my flight home and found this place given the good Google reviews. It was located inside a shopping centre by another popular banh mi spot, Thi Thi. I was greeted by the owners, James and Helen, who were very friendly. I ordered the assorted (cold cut) sub for $8. Helen was sharing how they also had a duck banh mi, which I would love to try next time. Their cold cut banh mi was made to order and was solid. Helen generously wrapped half my sub to go as I told her I was only going to eat half here as I had a flight to catch.
