Most authentic street Thai food you can find in the city. It will bring you back to Bangkok! I am Thai and have been living in Canada for over 20 years. I never go to Thai restaurants because most of the menus are westernized and they just don't satisfy my cravings the same way. I'd rather cook Thai food at home in order to get the right homey flavours. But now, this place is a game changer! I've been waiting for someone to bring Thai Street Food to mainstream! They have all the classic dishes that local Thai people would eat on a daily basis! Many of their menus you won't find in your typical Thai restaurants. If you truly want to experience the true flavours then this is the place to check out. Warning: true Thai flavour is spicy, so expect things to be spicier than what you're used to. Thai food tastes better spicy! The portions are big and most of the dishes are meant to eat as family style. I spoke with the owner and he said his mom is the chef, which explains the homey taste. I love it! Brings me back to my childhood in Thailand! This will be my new go to place for my Thai craving. For this trip we ordered mussel pancake (my childhood favorite), basil and pork (every thai person favourite) and bbq pork skewer (most popular Thai street food). The portions were more than enough for two. We brought half of the portions home for another meal. PS. I also love that they use vintage Thai plates that every old Thai home would have as serving dishes....

I haven’t eaten at any Thai spots in (Calgary) but I’ve had it on the list of things to try for the past while. My room mate left me some of her take out from this spot (green curry with shrimp) and I was absolutely hooked. Had to go in for more and try some other dishes. So this past weekend, my friend and I stopped in for an early supper. It was quiet when we arrived but as we were leaving there were several coming in for dinner! It’s a smaller spot so not a huge amount of seating but the tables are cozy and private and the atmosphere is lovely with all the plants! The food was top notch. It took us a lot to not order more than we actually needed. We had the mango salad with medium spice, spring rolls , and of course the green curry that I was so badly craving. I’m excited to try some different dishes next time and I’m excited that this place is so close to home. Oh the iced coffee was yummy also! Thanks for the great...

I was in the area and was meeting up with someone and we were both hungry and decided to give this place a try as it had good reviews and the photos of the food looked good.

It is definitely one of those hole in the wall places.

We ordered an assortment of food there. We started with the nice a crispy vegetable spring rolls and the fish cakes. Both were great. The little fish cakes tasted very good.

We then ordered the beef drunken noodles, basil crispy pork belly, and grilled pork jowls as our mains. The noodles was packed with flavor, I found the crispy pork was more a little chewy than crispy, however, the dish was still pretty good. The pork jowls had a nice BBQ flavor to it, just slightly dry for my taste.

All the dishes are best to share, though, they can be eaten individually. The staff was very friendly, and the parking outside I guess can be challenging as we were both entertained by people...

Tried out Yim Siam Thai Street Food for a Friday dinner. Service was friendly; water jugs dropped at our table and they asked for spice level (mild, medium, hot). Medium had no heat. - Mojito ($8.30) - Thai milk tea ($5.30) - Coconut rice ($3.90) - Chicken satays ($12.30 for 4) - BBQ pork sticky rice ($11.30 for 3) - Yum woon sen ($18.80) - good flavours - Green curry with beef ($17.50) - standard fare - Roasted duck curry ($18.50) - liked this more - Spicy crispy fish ($22.80) - wasn't crispy. Nowhere close to Thai Siam's version - Hoi tod ($21.30) - unmemorable - Haw mok pla ($18.80) - steamed basa in banana leaf was unique. Favourite dish - Drunken noodle with pork ($17.50) - nice bite
