2023-02-05 Shared a couple of dishes for lunch. Enjoyed both very much. The place was 80% full shortly after opening. Good sign. The beef noodle broth was rich in beef bone flavour. The noodles tasted freshly made with good texture, slightly chewy but soft. Both the shredded beef brisket and the shank slices were delicious, especially dipped in the chili sauce/ cracked black pepper/ sesame oil dip. 🔥 The combo mandu includes 3 pork and 3 kimchi mandus (mandoos). These were both delicious, especially when eaten with the soya marinade with the pickled veggies (banchan). Lunch was served with 3 banchans: soya pickled cucumbers and onions, sliced pork and their house kimchi. All delicious! First time having a meat banchan. The server refills the banchan throughout your meal without you having to ask. Default beverage is a thermos of hot water. 👍 The restaurant is spacious and clean, with modern ambiance. There is ample space between tables. Could probably fit 25% more seating without being crowded. Service is quick & friendly. Price is about right for good quality food in the current inflationary environment. Beef noodle soup is $16.90. The mixed mandu is $17.90. Highly...
Read moreI used to really like this Korean kalguksu place and visited often, but recently the quality has completely gone downhill. We ordered the chicken kalguksu, the dish we always get, but right from the start it was a disaster. The noodles came out already cooked from the kitchen, soggy and overdone. The broth had no seasoning at all. The chicken was served cold, and the sujebi wasn’t even fully cooked — you could literally taste raw flour We asked the kitchen about it, and they said they could remake the dish, but also told us we would have to wait a long time again So we asked if we could use the induction burner at our table to at least try to fix it, but after cooking for 20 minutes we realized the induction burner was broken. By then, the chicken had turned to mush, the broth had gone cold, and the noodles were completely inedible We couldn’t continue the meal and asked the server to have the kitchen check the food. The only response we got was, “Next time we’ll give you a discount.” Honestly, there won’t be a next time. This place has turned into one of the worst dining experiences...
Read moreRead moreWe were quite excited to visit the new Korean noodle restaurant in town, since there aren't any. It is situated in the same complex as Seoul BBQ and massive gym as well. Therefore, parking can be bit tricky close to the entrance of the restaurant. Service was absolutely impeccable. Waiting area can be improved. Tables and seats in one row which was interesting, wondering whether it was the best way to maximize the space. Appetizers were seriously good, pushing our expectations for noodles higher. We had noodles - initial impression was awesome after tasting the broth, but soon, we found them to be bland, almost as if few ingredients were missing to make it richer. Kimchi mandu were decent, but cannot say the same for the pork mandu. Jeon's were OK. The biggest surprise was the bill. The total cost was lot higher than I anticipated, definitely most expensive noodles I have ever had. Overall, I wish them all the best especially with such service. But definitely rooms for...
