MY-THAI Cambridge — Restaurant in Cambridge

Do not go here!!!! I placed an order and came home to find the food cold, disgusting and missing half the ingredients. I have never had Massaman the way they make it. It looked like a can of pork and beans! It had NO ingredients but peanuts and two potatoes with bland tofu! My spouse got a seafood dinner which was chewy and had only TWO Shrimp. I called to complain and they never offered to remake the food; nor did I want that. I asked for a refund. The workers there acted clueless! They stated they were not able to refund but they would have the owner refund me. I had to call back five more times to actually speak with the owner next day who was completely RUDE. She stated due to the Pandemic and their lack of business she would not refund me. I was appalled because she said just because you don't like the food doesn't mean I will refund you! I stated to her that I asked them to come back and get the untouched food since it was horrible! Before the pandemic this was my favourite thai food restaurant. Since the pandemic, the quality of their food has decreased, but I decided to give this restaurant another chance since I haven't eaten here since last year.

I got coconut shrimp and pad thai. The coconut shrimp was amazing and I was really impressed with the size and amount. The sauce wasn't very good (it tasted like slightly sweet and spicy water) but I used some thai chili sauce I had in the fridge instead.

Unfortunately, the pad thai wasn't good. The noodles were mushy and thin (similar to spaghetti). Both the meat and sauce were underseasoned and bland. It tasted like the chef just warmed up two day old chicken and shrimp in the microwave and dumped it on my dish. The pieces of tofu were giant and too bland to eat as well. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of quality, so I don't recommend getting anything besides the coconut...

I especially want to write review for the Muslim residents of Cambridge since the website doesn't say this place serves halal meals. I am new in Cambridge and so still figuring things around. I visited this place thinking I will just get shrimp or seafood dishes. But to my surprise the attendant said it's halal. So we ended up ordering chicken friend rice, green curry and garlic shrimp. Everything was amazing in terms of taste and service. Both the man and women who were serving were amazing too. Really nice and keeping up with the face pace atmosphere. My only concern is the food portion as I have been in Toronto and Mississauga area where Thai restaurants portion size is huge but here it's basically one person per meal especially the fried rice which I thought I can share with my mom but it was unfortunately too little.
