This really deserves no stars! My family and I ..4 adults and 1 kid went to try out this restaurant around 2:30.. we were really that hungry but wanted to try this place out. We ordered a set meal and Korean sweet and sour fried chicken. Mins later waitress came back and told us the cook won’t be cooking our order because we ordered too little … as I was confused and shocked so we were like what??? We need to order more in order for the cook to take our order? Why would I order more food if we can’t finish it? And my aunt had to explain to the waitress why we didn’t order much because we had a big breakfast but couple of us are from out of town we just want to try this place out… I’m like this is ridiculous and is illegal for you to tell me I didn’t order enough food so the chef won’t take our order??!! And I definitely do not need to explain myself why we order certain mouth of food and that’s what the waitress was asking us to do!! No where in US or Canada legal for restaurant to refuse service because we didn’t order enough to their liking. I told them if that’s the requirement you should put it on the menu but of course they wouldn’t because is illegal. I hope ppl won’t go and support the place. If you decide to open a restaurant you have to provide services when ppl order food and is paying customers. What they are doing are definitely illegal and hope they will get sued… if I lived in Canada I will definitely file a lawsuit against this place…owner like this should not be allowed to have a place of business!
Replying back to your answer: There was no one waiting so stop lying n it only make you look worst. It was around 2:30 pm and you had no waitlist n no one was lining up to wait for a table . You guys haven’t prepared our food yet as your waitress came n told me your cook won’t be cooking our food because we didn’t order enough so your cook won’t be taking our order! So how are you going to tell me you prepare the food! If you look up the law w food services restaurants cannot legally require you to order certain amount of food and I shouldn’t have to explain myself why I only order certain amount. You guys didn’t like the fact that it wasn’t enough money for my table to make so your cook refuse to cook… that bill would have came out to $45-$50… not including tips. I’ve been to many different restaurants and no one have ever came to a paying customers requiring them to order more or else refuse services ! I dare you to put that requirement on your menu and see if you are going to a lawsuit! When you are in the wrong simply just apologize and stop there… obviously you guys do not know how to run a successful business or else you would not talking a paying customer like this or still sit here and...
Read moreWoorinara is a Korean restaurant in Langley that has become one of my absolute favorites. This hidden gem offers the most authentic Korean cuisine you can find outside of Korea, making it worth the trip even if you don't have any specific plans in the area. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the owners, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional level of service they provide. Each visit has been met with attentive staff who go above and beyond to cater to our needs and preferences, without hesitation or questions. Even during busy periods, the quality of service remains consistently impressive, leaving me pleasantly surprised every time. The star of the show is undoubtedly the food. The menu is filled with an array of dishes, but their soups are truly outstanding. You can taste the authentic flavours and fresh ingredients. The food here is so good that I often buy their frozen takeout gookbap. The packaging is meticulous and ensures that the flavours and textures remained intact even after reheating. Another standout dish is their Tofu Kimchi. This homemade kimchi is better than store bought quality and gives you a taste of Korea. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are surprisingly affordable, making it worth a trip out...
Read moreI ordered the Jiamppong noodles, Woorinara soup, and the LA. Galbi via UberEats.
The food was packaged so safe and professionally! The containers were strong, and a plastic film was laminated on top so there was no chance of spillage.
The Galbi was one of the best I've ever had! Thick pieces of beef perfectly seasoned with onions and vegetables on top and bottom. The veggies were very tasty as it absorbed the juices from the marinate and had a slight charred taste. The meat itself was so juicy and tender - however, I can't justify the price as it was very expensive.
The Woorinara soup was delicious! There were some slices of beef that usually goes into the beef bone soup (Sulungtang meat) There were radishes in there (which I usually do not eat) however they were well cooked, tasty, AND they melted in my mouth! The spiciness wasn't at a level where I wanted it, however it was a light spiciness that somehow packed a slight punched with each spoonful - this soup is a must buy and I see why this is such a popular item.
The Jiamppong were an absolute disappointment :( This was the worst Jiamppong I've ever had in my life. The noodles were not the usual Jjiamppong noodles, and the soup was so watered down I had trouble tasting anything. There were only TWO pieces of seafood in here, one shrimp...
