Been really trying to re like this location for several visits now.
Every time we go there seems to be an issue with the food or delivery of food.
Most of it centers around the fries. One visit they had no seasoning salt and when asked why the waiter informed us they no longer put it on. The manger overheard the convo and came up and told us that is not the case and got us a fresh batch made, but sadly about time it arrived we were already pretty much done our burgers (which are delicious btw).
Then the next time we came in the service was so dragged out we were getting our beaks staggered to us. Our daughters being last, so we fed her off our plate and about time hers came she was full and we were still hungry but not wanting her child meal. The server tried to make it up to us by getting more fries, but once again we were long over do wanting to leave that they came too little to late.
This evening we went in again earlier thinking the service would be faster which it was. However our waitresses clothing was so strong smelling of laundry soap I got a headache and my skin crawled from reacting to it. I know this wouldn't affect everyone, but for those who have a sensitivity such as myself it was brutal! Not really sure the need for so much soap but my barely able to smell husband could even smell it so it was definitely strong!
Food came fast, but my fries were undercooked. I asked for them to be exchanged for a crisper batch like my hubbys and I received a batch so full of grease and hard you could bust a tooth and have a heart attack all in one bite! Check out the photos for proof! Talk about one extreme to the other! I didn't bother saying anything and ate my hubbys instead.
Other complaints of the night were the restaurant was extremely cold for some reason. I mentioned it and the waitress said she would turn up the heat. Sadly it did not warm while we were there as we wore our hoodies the whole meal.
There was an inch of dust on the back of the booth which is completely abnormal as we've been to this restuarant several times and have never seen it so dusty!
Last but not least one of the most strangest things ever was we ordered the sundae that comes with the child's meal and for some strange reason the waitress just kinda slammed it down beside me on the very edge of the table. Had I moved my arm it would have smashed to the ground (it was in a glass coffee cup). She didn't even say a word. Never mind place it in front of our child whose ice cream it was. I was speechless.
Anyways we will definitely be contacting the manger and most likely not going to this location anymore. Rather drive to Maple Ridge or Guilford to eat.

Read moreFirst of all — what happened to the decor after their big renovation? It used to look like a Red Robin. Now it looks like a dentist’s office full of corny art. It reminds me of when a Vietnamese pho restaurant takes over an old office space — they just throw up a couple of tablecloths and an open sign. What a disappointment. They really couldn’t have done worse with the decor.
Looking at the reviews, unfortunately, there are a lot of phony, paid-for ones — and no, the portions are not huge as one 5-star review claimed. Portions are average at best. Why not put your energy into improving your brand instead of paid-for advert reviews?
This was a Saturday evening. Staff was friendly, and the food was good. I ordered a Whiskey River burger. My dining partners had no complaints about the quality of their menu items.
We were seated at the bar — don’t ever sit there, it’s basically a dead zone when it comes to service. We were served by four different people, so basically whoever had time — which only proves the bar area is a dead zone. Once again, do not sit there. Nevertheless, this is completely unacceptable, as any part of the restaurant should be a service area.
The bartender took our drink order, which was delivered roughly 10 minutes later: a strawberry lemonade, a double gin and tonic, and a glass of water. Nothing complicated.
Then… basically, that was it. We sat for roughly 20 minutes before a server came to take our food order. We asked for an order of fries to come out before our meal — they never arrived. Our food showed up over 40 minutes later, with no cutlery. We sat there for about 30 minutes with zero staff attention — no one asked how our meal was or if we’d like a refill. Nothing.
After we finished eating, we were finally asked if we’d like a refill. Sure — why not, even though we were done eating. The drinks never arrived. In fact, they weren’t even on our bill, so they clearly were never ordered.
When we asked to pay and leave — another 15 minutes. The bill was incorrect. It just goes on and on.
We remained polite, understanding this is as good as it was going to get. We paid and left. Usually, service here is decent, and I do not understand what happened on this visit, as there was a lot of staff — at least 10 people. If this were a pub, three staff members could handle the same number of guests.
Better to come here midday during the week. Otherwise, bring your own drinks...
Read moreAugust 22nd, 2023. Around 6pm. The customer service is in this restaurant is comical. Decided to go in for dinner with three others and we were sat within ten minutes. The server came off a little rude from the start - didn't ask how we were doing just what we wanted to order. We ordered a stack of onion rings as a starter to share and four burgers for our mains. We started to realize how long it had been since the server took our order. At this point, it had been forty-five minutes and the server was no where to be found. When she finally decided to walk by our table, we asked our server what was taking so long and she replied "the kitchen is really backed up." Meanwhile, the restaurant wasn't fully packed, AND we could see food waiting to be brought out under the heat lamps. From where we were sitting, we could see the ready food sitting under the heat lamps with servers walking past it. I was curious and decided to start a timer - the food had been sitting there for 13 minutes!! We finally got our stack of onion rings - hard and not hot. It took an hour and ten minutes for our starter onion rings to come....AN HOUR FOR ONION RINGS?? We decided to ask for a manager on shift and our server grabbed a shift leader (blonde female). We kindly expressed our concerns for waiting over an hour for onion rings and she responded with "the kitchen is backed up there is nothing we can do" with a tone. She had nothing to say and basically said we could leave if we wanted - ridiculous. Shortly after, I could hear her conversation with another coworker and she wasn't saying nice things about us thats for sure. We decided to stick it out and finally got our food 20 minutes after the onion rings came out....our order was completely wrong and we had to wait again for them to remake it! We asked the shift leader to comp us in some way for the horrible service and she gave us a unwelcoming expression and walked off. We decided to take our food to go as we couldn't spend another minute in there. The server brought us the bill and they gave us 50% off. At this point, the food should have been free. It is really upsetting to see such a classic family restaurant fall down...
