A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

I had come in to order take out for my family. I rarely get take out so it's rare that I go to a&w. my experience here today wasn't something i get anywhere else. The lady who took my order wasn't very pleasant and I was very specific with my order as I have an allergy. I watched as they bagged my order and noticed they were missing a few items. I ordered 1 teen combo with onion rings and an iced tea 1 side onion rings 2 bacon and Eggers 1 buddy burger with cheese no onion no ketchup And 4 hash browns There was only 1 hash brown So I asked how many hash browns were on the order? They said 1 I said I had asked for 4. They said well she only charged 1. I said ok but I specifically said 4 hash browns. They got the manager over who said well you were only charged for 1. I'll have to charge for the rest. I said yeah. Wasn't my fault tho I specifically asked for 4. But I paid. As I was paying the girl who took my order had come over and started arguing with me saying I confirmed the order with you. I told her no. You only confirmed with me a wait time for eggs. She continued to argue with me. While the manager stood there letting her argue with me. I said why are you arguing with me this isn't very good customer service you didn't confirm the order and now we have to fix it. Then the manager pointed out well you could have confirmed it by looking at the screen. I looked at her and said I didn't know I had to look at the screen and all she had to do is ask everything correct on the screen? Which she did not do. The lady who took my order still continue to argue and I just said okay this is three times you've argued with me. Next time just ask me to look at the screen. And then the lady said fine I'm wrong you're right. she then turned around to walk away and while she walked away she started speaking in another language. so I said you're not supposed to speak another language in front of someone who only speaks English I have no idea what you're saying. the manager then said excuse me did you hear me speak in another language? and I said no you didn't but she did when she walked away. She then tossed my order at me and told me to check the bags. as I was checking the bags the entire staff started speaking another language and I could tell it was about me. I wasn't okay with that I just took my bags and left. Upon arriving home though I noticed that they didn't even give me my iced tea. I've never been treated this way by any establishment. Food/Drinks: pretty good and well made. Buns aren't crushed and smooshed which makes for great presentation. Tastes pretty good for fast food. Overall nothing too out of the ordinary but the main thing is that it's not below fast food standards.

Service: staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer my questions about the menu items without being stumped. They also up sold me on an item which doesn't usually happen but I was happy with the purchase.

Atmosphere: very weird and awkward place for a A&W location. Would not really recommend this location for a sit down as there is not much seating available. The seating they do have is split up. This location is shared with a convenience store.

Hi there , zero stars here homies .flr how expensive fast food is now and I barely ever eat it cause it’s so gross now a days this was by far the worst a and W I have been to . Ever since 2019 this exact place is the worst one . Like are u freezing your buns or something cause there horrible . Spent 40 bucks last night and all three meals were absolutely horrible we threw it out . Your lettuce was hideous the onion rings were nasty so much seasoning u couldn’t eat them . Also I only see one type of people working at this exact location . I WILL not go to this location ever again I will go to windamere where I’m welcomed and it’s clean . Zero stars...
