Disgusting and very rude bad customer service! My sister recommended this place as she's eaten there before and felt like thai food this evening. So she placed an order and we went to pick it up. So I paid and we got home and started eating as we were both very hungry but then I found a short hair tangled in with a noodle. We were both so grossed out after seeing that hair and stopped eating. I took a picture with my phone. Then I called and spoke to the manager Tran and explained the situation and she informed me the 2 cooks in the back wear hair nets. I said I understand things happen but we threw the dish away and I would just like a refund. At first she said I could get another dish but I told her I just want a refund. She said she would send me an email refund transfer after I sent her a picture of the hair in my food. So they dont take your word as a customer they need proof. I sent her the email with the picture and about 10 minutes later she called me and said she talked to the other manager and he said I have to bring the food in and show them! I was like are you fricken kidding me ?? I have 2 small crying babies and they expect me to drive all the way back there even after I sent you them a picture as proof!! I told her we threw the food out after seeing the first hair and my sister had found even more. The manager said oh some customers try to advantage. So she was implying that I was lying and trying to take advantage. I told her as a business owner the customer is always right and you shouldnt go back on your word after telling me you will refund my money. Now she's telling me I need to bring the food in when I have two crying babies on my hands. Anyways I got a refund for the overpriced tofu thai noodle dish only not the full amount of the bill. I will never go back there. Dirty, gross, rude customer service, very cheap overpriced for food that wasnt even good. I wish I could upload the picture of the nasty hair in my food. With the whole virus situation restaurants need to be more aware and cautious and not argue with their customers and basically call them liars who are trying to take advantage!! Honestly not eating out after this I'll save my money and health and cook at home like...
Read moreThis is a review just for their Tom Yum Goong and Tom Kha Goong soup. Tried their food last November and I enjoyed it. Today, I was craving a coconut soup, and I was right by them, so I looked up their menu. Saw that they did have what I was craving, so decided to treat myself. When I walked in, they had what looked like a new menu to me. So I grabbed on and sat down. Server was polite and greeted me. Took a look at the menu and I was firstly confused and then taken aback. Their Tom Yum Goong and Tom Kha Goong soups, both at $16.95 looked delicious but then it said it cost extra for noodles. Okay...that is a first. But then I saw that they were charging $3.95 for a small and $5.95 for a large portion of noodles. What in the world.... I understand that inflation is real but when I am able to get noodles for a fraction of the price anywhere else, this seemed just criminal. And this is just for the noodles on top of the cost of the soup. It would be over $20 for a bowl of soup. When the server came over, I did ask to be certain that they charge extra for noodles and he said yes. Asked if it was a new menu and he also said yes. I then did something I've never done before. I returned my menu to the front table where I got it from and left. Told the server I could not bring myself to spend that much for noodles to be in my soup. This is a first for me and I'm still reeling from it. Prices are going to change, I can understand that. But knowing I can get 3 to 4 servings of noodles from the grocery story for less than $3 and this restaurant expecting people to pay almost $6 for one serving, I simply can...
Read moreBe wary of this restaurant if you have food allergies!
We went here last night for a family meal. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall. It is clean, although the furniture is in need of repair. There is a clearly labelled menu featuring clearly labelled options for vegetarians, vegans and those with food allergies. One orders at the register but food is brought out to the tables.
My daughter has coeliac disease. We often choose Vietnamese restaurants as it is usually a safe option. She ordered the Lemongrass Veggies which are labelled as Vegan and Gluten Free. She added what she thought was Sriracha Sauce as the bottle was clearly labelled and she was familiar with the brand. She soon began to feel ill and we started to analyze what she had eaten. I questioned the Sriracha Sauce bottle and the staff admitted that they had put Hoisin Sauce (NOT GF) into that bottle! Despite inducing vomiting, my daughter endured a night of misery and will suffer many more days of discomfort.
We asked that staff label sauce containers properly to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Our request was met with excuses and resistance. We were insistent but not rude.
Staff at this restaurant needs to be educated about FoodSafe policies and food allergies. Having menu items labelled is great, but useless if the staff is going to sabotage patrons with improperly...
