Boston pizza is Boston pizza it's usually pretty hard to mess it up. a little disappointed I didn't get the service that I expect nobody came to ask me if I wanted to drink or food or anything had to go up to the bar after like20 min waiting there then my ginger ale came with no ice no straw not much friendliness or hospitality shity dismal music on the radio I just didn't feel any love you know you come from outdoors having a bad day possibly rough day you want to feel a certain sense of kindness or welcoming vibes not at all three servers that were there one time at least two we're working the bar the whole time there so little disappointed with the Boston pizza Capilano staff in the lounge pizza but specifically service I guess cuz you know what it's glorified high-end McDonald's and good service is a requirement the food's not going to take your breath away but do you know what you're going to get usually it's always what you get what you alwayst like it's just stood out a little bit here today. Service not too impressed horrible music playing too late just gloomy stupid music it was on whatever radio station they picked bad choice also for that setting was just down total fail ladies but you look beautiful so I'll give you props for the beauty you know and to actually the girl that came and took my payment or whatever total sweetheart cook my criticisms best way very very receptive seem like you care so that helpl sweetheart very nice probably leave the ship was just winding down but anyways lots and lots of room for improvement girl that was kind of in the spot when I came in but no no just no attention at all you know just not feeling it the first thing that I was told was just so you know the BLT machine shuts off at this time there's like no hi no hello nothinglike who are you? And then not even putting a straw or ice in the cup of ginger ale I also ordered a large pizza the same time are we treating people is like second-rate customers or citizens if they're using a VLT machine or is that a is it something about me and my not looking good enough for you to do your job up for what the hell is at what's the issue here why is why are you not showing hospitality when you're in the hospitality industry come on People... are never to busy and definitely weren't busy at all this situation so no excuses pull your heads out ladies come on and see how we make people feel you make me feel good so work on it I'm going to work on trying to be a better customer anyways that's my little spiel listen to boycott Boston pizza by any means but people be communicate the way that service in these types of places makes you feel to the people you know it's our job to let these you know you lot of them are young people that don't know much about this you don't feel that they happen to be working in temporarily or what it might be with educate them by giving them positive feedback and you know where they can improve in so it's up to you it's up to people to teach people how to treat us treat each other and so on and so on so just a heads up much love and blessings to all you...
Read moreMy friends and I went out for a nice Sunday meal. We called ahead to ask if it was appy hour today, they told us yes, we clarified it again and they told us it was. We came in for the appy hour and they told us it wasn’t something they’re doing today, but as it was what we came for they honoured it for our table which we appreciated. Unfortunately that was the last good thing to happen the whole time we were there. We had the manager as a server to start, we got some time to look at the menu. Ten minutes later we have to ask her for help to order, and she had asked if nobody came yet. We ordered everything all at once, food and drinks to make it quick and easy. My friend ordered a hot chocolate which came in a normal pop glass and tasted like warm water with barely any chocolate. So we explained and asked for a chocolate milk instead. 5 minutes later someone brings another hot chocolate that was luke warm but tasted better. Finally most of our food comes, and we have to ask for a bit more Parmesan because our shaker is nearly empty and definitely not going to be enough for six of us. They then brought out an extra bandera bread that wasn’t ordered and forgot out nachos. We informed the girl who brought our food what we were missing and she seemed confused but said she’d go see. The manager came back and seemed a bit confused but it became clear to us that she had forgotten to ring it in, though she said it will be out soon. 10 minutes go by and we still hadn’t seen the nachos so we asked again. The girl came back and said they just ran out so they’re making a brand new batch, we said that we had ordered them about 35 minutes before? She said yeah that’s when they ran out, we informed her everyone else is almost done their food and we’ve been waiting. My friends asks to get it to come for dine in but maybe get it taken of the bill, the server says okay, my friend clarified again to get it out ASAP please because we’ve waited quite some time. Another 10-15 minutes go by without any nachos. We seen many tables that were in after us get their nachos and other foods so we finally asked to speak to the manager who then tells us she thought the nachos were cancelled. As that was the full meal for 3 of us we requested to please have them brought as soon as possible. By the time the nachos came everybody had already finished their food and we had been waiting way longer than was necessary. All the while we had people offering to clear plates but no quality checks and zero offers to refill or check up on drinks, which sat empty for nearly half our meal. While they did take the nachos off the bill, we were very unimpressed with the overall service. We didn’t have a dedicated server and the staff practically avoided us and only attended their own tables and this likely caused communication and service issues. They were only mildly busy, and as someone with experience working and leading restaurants, I was thoroughly...
Read moreWe attended this BP location on Sunday afternoon before the Harlem Globetrotters Game. We were a group of 9 - 5 adults and 4 children. The previous day a member of our party called to make a reservation and was told they dont take reservations on the weekend but it shouldn't be a problem getting in. Sunday prior to our arrival a call was placed to the restaurant to ensure they had room for a table of 9 and we were told it was "dead" so there would be no problem and to come on down. Upon entering the restaurant we noted only 1 table was occupied and there was no line up. When we asked for a table of 9 we were told by the manager there was no room for us, they were fully book. Funny considering we were told the previous day they don't take reservations on weekends and it was obvious only one table was occupied. The member of our party who had called regarding a reservation and to confirm space advised the manager of her calls a d what she was told a d he simple shrugged. Asked if he could recommend where our group could go near by and he just said no.
Why was our group refused? Good question! We were a group consisting of 3 moms, a grandmother and a dad along with 4 children ages 4-6 trying to have a meal in what is supposed to be a family friendly restaurant prior to going to the event a Roger's Place.
Ask me why we were refused a table. We were discrimated for arriving with children and were not seen as a group of big eaters and booze guzzlers who might come in and run up a bigger tab.
Thank you BP... Joey's Bell Tower was very willing to give our group a table, we had an exceptional meal that far exceeded anything we would of had at BP.
As for the children in our party, a group of adults from another table commented to one of the moms in our group how well behaved they all were!
Looking for Family Friendly... SKIP this BP location. Go around the block and give Joey's...
