Update as of Sept 2023. This place is amazing in their service. After not taking the time to go back for over a year after a unsatisfied experience, the manager Rochelle was amazing and still honored their offer for dinner. I didn't realize at the time but order much of the same thing as i did the year before. The mushroom and goat cheese dip was probably even better this time. i think it is my favorite thing I have had at any restaurant. My drink was so good,I forget what it was but it was purple and yummy. The steak was done perfectly, as was the potatoes. I couldn't eat it all and brought it home. I also had the chocolate flour less torte I believe...so good but had to come home and share it with my 4 year old. My server..Iya (sorry if i mispelled) was everything you want in a server, attentive, cheery and knowledgeable. She was fun about the large booth for just the 2 of us and made our dining experience better. I can't recommend this place enough now. True customer service at it finest. The food was amazing and atmosphere perfect for an evening with my bestie and drinks. Went here for the first time before the Trevor Noah show at the Rogers center. It started off really well with a nice table upstairs. Waitress was attentive, friendly and observant. I had the cherry blossom mojito which was good once I muddled the mint up. We had the mushroom and goat cheese dip which was Devine. One of the best things I have tasted in a long time. We both ordered steak Oscar medium rare, which said was done in a garlic butter but there was nothing garlic there, just a overly buttery bearnaise sauce and my steak was under done but not horribly i gave my hubby my shrimp and scallops as the non garlic butter ruined them for me. I had their special soup which was the tomato bisque and that was yummy as well. The upsetting part was payment. I had a gift card of $150 and our bill was $141+change. Without asking or prompt the waitress typed in our payment as the whole amount of the gift card. Now granted we had planned on more than that for her tip, but the fact there was no discussion I felt a little robbed and it ruined the experience in the end. **Edit** Talked with the Manager and have accepted a meal for 2 for our inconvenience. Will provide second review after we attend.

I rarely take time to write reviews but our experience with Chop is worth the time and effort, although not for the reasons you’d hope. We have ordered their Superfood Salads (x2) WEEKLY for at least a year. It has ALWAYS included: greens, cauliflower rice, radish, pumpkin seeds, pickled cabbage, chickpeas, avocado, broccolini, roasted squash and then choice of tofu ($24), chicken ($25) or shrimp ($27). A pricey salad but we enjoyed it so we splurged on it. Apparently between Sunday and Wednesday, Chop decided to get in on the shrinkflation and now for the SAME PRICE, you get the salad MINUS: BROCCOLINI, SQUASH, RADISH, AVOCADO, CABBAGE!!! It is ENRAGING that they more or less eliminated all the costly ingredients while charging the same. They must be making a KILLING off this salad now! We argued with the manager who then tried to gaslight us by saying that salad never had squash etc but here’s a tip: don’t gaslight customers that have one of your meals on a weekly basis! He then proceeded to say it was because broccoli had gotten more expensive. Yeah, welcome to life for the rest of us! Is that your excuse for all the other ingredients that actually added substance to a salad?!? Anyway, we refused the meals and got our money back and we’ll never go back. There’s way too many other places with better options than greens, protein and dressing for $30. Ironically, they haven’t bothered to correlate their picture online which shows the salad AS IT WAS prior to Wed. 😏

Note: This review is for Chop's Breakfast Service at the hotel. Not the best experience at Chop. We were seated promptly but at a table underneath a ceiling leak that dripped all over the table (and guests) we mentioned this to the server and were promptly moved. The service was very slow, it took over an hour for three people from start to finish. No server checked in with us, and we didn't get our coffees or water refilled. The servers always seemed to be busy with something so it didn't seem to be an issue with laziness or intentional slowness it felt almost more like a staffing issue, despite the small size of the restaurant and number of servers. The food was below average. I had an Eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise sauce was very under seasoned (something I didn't know was possible). The potatoes had obviously been stored under a heat lamp for a long period of time. And the fruit and some noticeable surface defects (I opted not to eat them). The bathrooms were also out of order. On the positive side, the rare interactions we had with the servers were pleasant, the portion sizes were very generous and the decor of the restaurant was top notch. My final verdict was that it was one of the worst hotel breakfast experiences I've ever had and at $75 for three people (before tip), also one of the most expensive. You'd be better off finding a fast food location for breakfast.

Had dinner with my hubs and parents tonight. Seated immediately by the very sweet hostess. Our server was there quickly, and our wine arrived shortly after. Orders in, food was timed in courses perfectly. Very comfortable and relaxing. Entrees came, and my steak was not cooked the way that I had asked (not a problem, it happens.) Let the lovely female runner/expo? know, and she immediately apologized, and said that she would have another one on the way. The male manager came by our table, apologized as well, checked on the rest of my party's meals (which were wonderful---prime rib---the hubs said it was the best he has had in years, sirloin---my Dad said it was exactly what "the doctor ordered", and veggie tempura with broccolini on the side for my vegan mom, who was grateful for actual options, as where they live in Florida, there aren't many), reassured me that he would personally ensure that my steak was perfect, that it was on the way, and asked if he could buy us dessert after our meal. Our server reiterated that when she came to the table too. 6 minutes later, not only did I have a new steak, I had a new entire entree; sirloin, garlic shrimp, veggies, and fully loaded baked potato. The steak was FRIGGIN phenomenal. As I had already eaten my sides from the first round, I was full, but had a few bites of steak, and a TOGO box, lol. To top it off, my meal was removed from the bill; unnecessary, but appreciated. We (unfortunately) had to decline dessert, but were grateful for the offer. The 5 Star rating is because not only was the food delicious, the wine awesome, atmosphere just what we needed, but the customer service was impeccable. We will be back, time and time again. CHEERS to the entire staff at CHOP; you have created customers for life. Nice to find a place that we can bring both our family and our clients, and know that they will have as wonderful of an experience as we did. Our server was Jade J, we were in Sunday,...

Firstly let’s start by saying this review is a MONTH overdue due to this restaurants inability to follow up on their complaints , Had my brothers birthday dinner here in September we were a group of 15 people , it took a very long time to get our food and when we did the server just dropped the plates and we had to figure out who ordered what , when asked to move the plate to the person who ordered it whom was at the other end of the table she rolled her eyes , our server was doing the best she could but one of our parties were given the wrong meal and the entire table had eaten before he could get his correct order , not only that most of our dishes were cold , one of our parties spoke to the manager who said he would be right back and never came back, we decided to just pay our bill and leave not even wanting to get desert just based on how long it took for us to get our food but we did anyways and to our dismay almost another 30 minute wait with not enough traffic in the restaurant to explain it , the day after our reservation I called the restaurant to make a complaint because tho the restaurant was not busy the manager never came back , I spoke to Julia another manager who said she would speak to the regional manager and get back to me and she never did i had to call back to follow up in that conversation she advised that we would be sent a gift card , that was on September 13 and it is now October 15 and still no gift card or communication to explain what had happened, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE don’t be like my family spending collectively upwards of $900 just to have subpar cold food and mediocre service. Or be made promises that they never planned to fulfill. This...
