So I am on my way back to the office when my boss calls and says hey can grab me Lunch. Sure what would you like. Harvey's. Done. I pull into the drive thru and I ordered his food. Got a drink for myself as well and the girl asks me if I would like to add Two Chocolate Marshmallow Pies. I look down a see Hey they're on sale I will get two, eat one and if I dont like it give the other to my boss, if I do Ill just eat both and he will never know. I exit the drive thru and merge back onto Calgary Trail. I open up my pie and take a big bite. Wow this is actually pretty good, it was warm and crispy. I finish it and decided screw him this second pie is mine! I take another big bite and I instantly knew I was in trouble. This white hot lava like substance is in my mouth and running down my chin. This was one of the hottest things I have eaten in memory. If I had to rank a fire, the sun and this pie... the sun would come close but the pie was still hotter. I had to look at this thing cause I wasnt even sure if it was chocolate and marshmallow, apple or lava. I see it is infact white with a little chocolate streak running through it. I decided to roll down my window and hold it out the window to cool it down. After a minute or so I look at it and was like cool, bite it again. SOMEHOW it was even hotter. By this point I have no feeling let in my mouth all the nerves are cinged off I finish the fire pie. This story has two points I would like to make. 1) You should figure out how to use these pies to heat homes, it would help save money on electricity. 2) The pie was really good maybe just try to keep the temperature below 9000 degrees, cause the first one was and it was really good. Thank you taking the time to read my story, I enjoyed my...
Read moreGreat experience at Harvey’s on Calgary Trail. This location has been around for a long time, and I’m pretty sure it’s the one I visited the last time I had Harvey’s in Edmonton. Honestly, I don’t go often simply because there are just so many options in the city—but today I was on my way to golf, I was hungry, and I thought I’d stop in.
I’m glad I did. The place was busy but very clean, including the washrooms, which is always a good sign. Two things really stood out and deserve top marks: Plastic cups for dine-in drinks – A nice touch! It’s a better experience than paper and (hopefully) more environmentally friendly. Hands-on manager/owner – He was working the room, personally visiting each table to ask how the meal was. Who does that at a fast food place? Owners who care—that’s who, HUGE respect for this dying level of caring.
The food was exactly what you’d expect from Harvey’s: good, fresh, and satisfying. Always enjoyed picking your own toppings, but I think it’s offered often elsewhere-these guys started it!
Overall, this visit reminded me why Harvey’s is a...
Read moreBEST HARVEY'S LOCATION IN EDMONTON! Okay, you're asking, how does that happen. After all, Harvey's is a national franchise, right? I don't know why, all I know is that there's a big difference from location to location. Sure the menu items are the same, but for over two decades, this location wins my vote for Best in Edmonton. Maybe the Manager hires the best staff (like Noor who served me today) but I always get a friendly greeting, perfect sandwiches, and the best service. It's the same at the drive-thru. Incidentally, I've been comparing grilled chicken sandwiches at fast food outlets (not crispy chicken, straight grilled)! Harvey's wins that! Cooked perfectly!!
