Good evening,
My family had a very unpleasant experience with one of your staff on Friday, September 16th at 9:52 pm (yes I have a time stamp documenting this). You close at 10.30 pm on Fridays.
We drove 20 minutes to your establishment because we heard good things about the food, my wife wanted to eat at your establishment, and supposedly you were a family oriented establishment. We were to dine in with my mother in law, wife and baby. This was sadly not the case.
We were told that we needed to order before 10 pm (which is fine we were prepared to order). We were told that if we did, then only take out would be possible. My wife said we would like to dine in (because after all, you close at 10.30 pm as above). We were willing to eat quickly (oh and I was holding an infant in a car seat).
My wife was very polite to your staff member. Instead of actually helping us and taking our order, your staff member kept arguing with my wife for 5 minutes (this was now around 9.56 pm) on take out.
Your staff member assumed they would need to stay past 11:00 pm (I want to make it very clear that we had no expectation on anyone to stay late, this was assumed by your staff member). I should mention whether we dined in or not our order would have been exactly the same.
Your staff member indicated that most of the staff started working around 9 am (yet your hours of operation state you open at 11:30 am?).
Your staff member then stated you had a policy of some sort not working past 11 pm ? Which is fine but this internal policy doesn't apply to the customer. We have been to our fair share of restaurants. We have never come across such a policy.
If it does then you need to state this on your website or front entrance. You also need to state the cut off times between dine in and take out service.
Your staff member had no empathy or compassion (by the way I work in customer service. At least one staff member of yours needs retraining in customer service).
The restaurant was quiet when we went. I know the restaurant business isn't doing so well right now. Instead of going to a big chain business, we like to support local businesses.
It's very disappointing I had to leave this one star review. I did inform your staff member i would write this. We of course took our business elsewhere to another local business (who were very polite and know customer service).
We won't be back to your establishment in downtown. First impressions are always the key as a hallmark of customer service. We are sorry we couldn't support you. We were more than willing.
I hope the above feedback will assist you to improve customer...
Read moreI have visited this restaurant a few times now and each time I visit I do not feel comfortable here. One time me and my partner just went in to have a few appetizers and soup, different servers came up to us to ask what would we have for dinner when we had clearly stated that we are here just for appetizers. They really made us feel awkward. We even saw one server point out to us and the other servers just turned their heads to look at us. I wonder what they were discussing but it made us feel super uncomfortable.
I understand that any restaurant would want its customers to order more food and would want feedback if they are not - as to if the customer is liking the food. I would have appreciated if they asked us once and probably inquired one more time if we are liking the food. But this is no way - pointing towards a table and then talking among yourselves, different people coming up to ask you what else would you like for dinner. It's just an unpleasant feeling.
It seems like they want every customer that walks in to probably make a bill of at least $75, order some drinks, 2-3 entrees, etc. Well, you got to treat every customer that walks in with respect and make them feel comfortable regardless of what they order from the menu.
They also take a lot of time to bring you the bill. Every time I visit, it is a minimum of 20-25 minute wait to get the bill. So annoying to stay at a place where they make you feel uncomfortable.
To summarize, their service is NOT AT ALL hospitable. I would have given this restaurant a negative rating if I could. Will never go...
Read moreWas looking around for a good Indian restaurant and we stumbled upon Khazana.. oh how I wish we hadn’t ..
To start off nobody took our order until 20-30mins after seating us .. when the food came I was heavily disappointed.
The food also seemed quite pricey but we thought you pay for quality which was perfectly fine for us…. Until the food came
Butter chicken was very bland and tasteless, tasted like it was a couple days old and had no freshness to it. I’ve had better butter chicken that came frozen in Superstore
Tandoori Murgh was extremely dry and felt like it was reheated and served to us, it was extremely disappointing. It also had a weird smell to it which makes me wonder if it was even cooked fully.
Chili chicken 65 was maybe a 3/10 at best.. just something about it tasting quite old and 0% freshness. The chicken tasted very rubbery and just terrible.
The white rice was the worst part, I couldn’t even take more than one bite, I don’t think they were even cooked all the way , plus yet again it felt as if it was a few days old and re heated.
The only decent item they served were the Butter & Garlic Naans .. which were actually really good.. it’s a shame the food was well under average otherwise it would’ve been a good experience.
To top it all .. we both got food poisoning and had severe diarrhea the night of and morning after.. mind you we’re both Desi so we’re very accustomed to this cuisine.
PLEASE DON’T WASTE...
