Koryo Korean Barbeque — Restaurant in Edmonton

One of the most unprofessional koryo's i've ever seen. The family owned franchise arrived 15 minutes before they were to open at 11. They threw on everything directly to the steam well. Everything on my plate was cold. The meat they put on the grill was seared yesterday, they didn't use fresh raw meat they used half cooked from yesterday. They're kids shouldn't be on the cash register, they weren't kind sounded like robots when taking orders and giving my change back. The lady was rude when i told her to keep my food warm since the gravy wasn't ready. The guy insisted the gravy was ready and put on a scoop of water like soup on top of my food. overall showed lack of care for there franchise. If i were them come to work on time please make sure your food is hot and work on your customer service. Make sure every employee is in there...

My fave place for meals with meats! and the Garlic potatoes are just my style!

Everything is really good... EXCEPT for the new "tteokbeokki" dish. I don't recommend even trying it, a couple bites made me feel sick...

To describe it, first of all, it's sweet, which is not right. It should be on the spicy side. For the sauce they used, it's like they tried to make it like the garlic potatoes but didn't consider that their crappy tteok would make it horrible overall. The outside is really crispy which is unusual+weird. For the inside, there's barely any tteok taste and isn't chewy/dense like it should be. I don't think anyone would like it.

The korean/chinese cashier guy at koryo west edmonton mall was not giving the official receipt it happens to me many times already i order meals for 40 dollars then he did not gave me my receipt when i asked him he said that he throwed it on the garbage then give me less than 20 dollars worth of receipts i thought it was just not intentional but i went there many times after that it happens again then when i finally asked the receipt he just reprint the reciept of the debit machine and refusing to give the official reciept... that guy was doing some fraud...
