The food was cooked well and greatly priced and the servers were so friendly! There is a lack of accessibility. My father in law couldn’t use the bathroom because there are two little stairs and no ramp up separating the front and back, and my baby couldn’t sit with us in a seat because they didn’t have a baby seat. Besides the accessibility needs, the place is great! I had a clubhouse and it was tasty, crispy where it needed to be and wasn’t too messy! The fries should’ve been cooked a tiny bit longer as well, but they were still good. My daughter loved her milkshake but my mother in law said that it was a bit watery. I tasted it and would say they don’t taste like they’re made with ice cream, and that they’re the powder type milkshakes, (not sure if it is just similar in flavour) and would be better if ice cream could be tasted in it! My partner had the meat lovers skillet and said it was great! My daughter had a burger and wasn’t able to finish it there but ate it at home and she enjoyed it. My father in law had fish and chips and completed his meal without complaints, and my mother in law enjoyed what she was able to eat of her sandwich. Despite the accessibility, we’ll be back with just our kids to enjoy the food and we’ll remember to bring a baby booster 🖤

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch for the first time as was impressed. I didn’t know they had opened (our server, perhaps part owner, said they’ve been open for 2 months already) and was happy to see a restaurant in this troubled space (many businesses have opened and closed here over the past few years). The server was very friendly and let me know about the lunch special, a roast beef sandwich and fries or soup for $10 - a great deal! I ordered that, along with a bottomless lemonade, and enjoyed both. The sandwich was quite tasty, as were the fries. The interior was mostly unchanged from the previous business, which isn’t a bad thing considering it’s well appointed and modern. I’m happy to see a well priced breakfast / lunch spot along Jasper, which may offer some friendly competition with The Commodore a block east.

Great spot for a quiet breakfast! Visited The Phoenix Restaurant on a Friday morning and was pleasantly surprised by the calm, relaxed atmosphere. There were only a few patrons, which made it perfect for conversation—especially with the soft background music that added to the vibe without being distracting. The decor strikes a nice balance between modern and rustic, creating a cozy yet stylish setting. Prices were reasonable, and I ordered the Western skillet with toast. Presentation was on point, and the food arrived hot. Generous portions of ham and hash browns made it hearty and satisfying. My only small critique is that the dish was a bit dry for my taste, but still flavorful and enjoyable overall. Would definitely come back again—great place to start the day! My Rating: '4 Stars' = Very Good, '5 Stars' = Way Above Expectations

I often get lunch takeout here and it's always made fresh to order, doesn't take long to get - often I will go for a sandwich and a side which usually is between $10-14 depending on what I go for that day, which is pretty good pricing nowadays! Never had a disappointing meal from them, ingredients are always fresh and tasty, and the counter folks are always such a gem. Considered even possibly having some work meetings in their beautiful sunny dining room now and then, haha! Highly recommend if you're looking for a place with good food, good prices, and plenty of friendly smiles.

PS: TRY THE FRUIT LEMONADES. They have a slight fizz and are so deliciously sweetened - worth the splurge now and then! Also made to order. :) They also have a rotation of daily lunch sandwich deals that are excellent prices (some are $10 for ex for the same sandwich and side I...
