My boyfriend stopped by this location on his way home, he told the employee at the desk that I had 2 very specific allergies; Coconut and palm. I understand that when I get donuts or cupcakes at these kind of stores it is very difficult for them to prevent cross-contamination. They were even kind enough to call the bakery to ensure the donut doesn't have any shortning (main ingredient is usually palm oil). We ordered trusting that everything would be ok. It came to our surprise that the 'cream' in the donut is some kind of cool whip filling (again, main ingredients is BOTH coconut and palm oil) I ate it assuming it was heavy whipping cream. Allergic reaction requiring me to take benedryl regularily for the next 24 hours. To my absolute horror as I was looking at the donuts again (feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't eat them) is one of the donuts they included had actual coconut on it. Thank goodness I didn't eat that one first! I can forgive not thinking about the 'cream' filling but to put a donut that has actual coconut on it into a box where the person buying specifically said there was a coconut allergies just...
Read moreWas extremely disappointed when I went to pick up doughnuts yesterday and noticed that they had jacked up their prices on already over priced doughnuts. I used to very reluctantly give a tip occasionally, which I shouldn’t for doughnuts, however now I cannot fathom tipping their employees due to the price gouging. If I ever even go back that is. $18 for 4 doughnuts is absolutely absurd, especially because on top of the doughnuts being more expensive, they were not fresh like they typically are; I can usually pick up doughnuts after work & keep one for breakfast in the morning; I could barely eat them last night due to how dry they were. On top of all that; all of the doughnut flavours this month are so over the top that they don’t even sound enjoyable. Maybe if you focused more on producing doughnuts that don’t have so many different toppings they not only sound disgusting, but also costs $3 extra, you wouldn’t be having to charge $5 for a doughnut that’s dry and...
Read moreThe flavor of the dough itself is always delicious! Unfortunately this time I got a filled donut and was disappointed twice. I luckily had my first few bites while still in the parking lot and noticed there was only about 1 teaspoon if filling. I felt like that was bad enough to get a different one. I showed the staff and she tried to find a replacement that felt heavier. However, I did request a different donut to not be disappointed again and the staff wouldnt allow that since the one I wanted was more expensive (maybe $0.25 more?). The second donut was better but still barely anything (maybe 1 tablespoon). My friend also got a filled donut and his actually had enough (raspberry one shown in the pics). They definitely need to figure out their quality control. If I pay $4-$5 for 1 donut I'd expect more than 1 tablespoon of filling.
Most of my previous experiences were great though so I will be back! But probably won't try anymore filled donuts...
