Please read full review It's really hard to locate the restaurant at first it's located on lower level. We ordered chole bhature and veg biryani. The chickpeas were raw and undercooked. I was disheartened as it was my first time having something in halifax. I won't recommend the restaurant if you want to try some good Indian try other places. Edit:- I gave the restaurant another chance and to my surprise it was so amazing this time we ordered butter masala paneer dosa, mango lassi and masala chai. The dosa was really tasty the sambar had authentic Indian taste and coconut chutney was really amazing too. The staff Vashnavi was really helpful and nice to us so kudos to her. The masala chai was 10/10 and you must try it if you are a fan of Indian tea.

They have quite a few authentic South Indian dishes - Dosas and Chaats included! We had the Chicken Biryani (which had a good serving of spiced rice and 2 pieces of chicken) yumm!! And we tried the Masala Dosa (a crispy rice flour wrap with potato base filling) and Pani Puri (fillable crispy hollow flour-based shells served with a lentil mix, sweet tamarind sauce and a cool lightly spiced water which you have to assemble yourself. It's yummy and fun to do!) There were other items on the menu too - Samosas, Curry and rice combos, sweets, etc! Neat place although kinda tucked away inside a shopping centre.

Came in for an early lunch at around 11:45. They had a board of specials but apparently they start at 1; I’ll have to come back to try the paneer fry biryani. Got the grilled paneer sandwich and a masala chai. The sandwich was great! Spicy, creamy and flavourful, served with potato chips. I wound up putting the chips on the sandwich for extra crunch. The chai is nice - mild, but warm and comforting. Comes unsweetened but they do have sugar for those who’d prefer. Simple, good food for a little place tucked into the basement food court of a mall people might not even know exists.

Right now here at Adda indian eatery. Tried mysoee masala dosa, chole bhature, idly sambhar and chicken biryani. Everything was disappointing and disgusting. Came here a year ago and gave them 5 star review. But now the taste has degraded exponentially. The sambhar was cold too but we let it go and not at spicy then i went again said please make the other dish a bit spicy. I asked them numerous times to please make it a bit spicy. Leave the spicy and taking this in consideration the chole was sweet. And had to return it.The service was bad too while i was sharing my review to the person who was serving and cooking, he was literally smiling on my face. Didn’t had the curtesy to even say sorry once. Very very disappointing. Specially came here because of my previous experience but oh my god this was the worst experience. Because of this horrendous experience i don’t have the courage to even try Faluda for which i specially came here, it was good too last time but who knows now. Its easy to give good service once and make name but its hard to maintain the quality and good service.

I didn’t use any bad language, i just said that its sweet n stuff and no we didn’t get another dish. And they just returned the money for cholle bhature. And i was having a really good day before Adda experience so don’t blame it on me. We were on vacation and Adda was our first on me and my friend recommendation as i have been there before and i...

The word Adda means a place to gather: a hangout spot. There were many people there at the same time as us, but it was still calm and easy to carry on a conversation without raising our voices. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the upbeat Indian music, and the friendly staff. We lingered to chat long after we were finished eating while I had a delicious Chai tea.

My friend had the Spicy Chicken Vindaloo bowl, and I had the Chana Masala bowl. We really enjoyed the flavour explosion of each dish and their very different tastes. There is a lot of rice under the curry, but for me, it was the perfect amount to balance out the flavour and spice of the curry. The portion was so large, that I took home enough for another meal.

Keep in mind that Adda operates in a food court in the Spring Garden Place mall (which is nicer than most mall food courts, by the way), and he opened with the intention to offer Indian street food at a reasonable price. With this in mind, we enjoy the the taste, the value and the atmosphere he has created for his customers. We will return regularly and bring our...

I recently visited and had an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was subpar.

The staff were unwelcoming and exhibited poor behavior throughout our visit. Not only did they take a long time to take our order, but they were also very rude when we asked for recommendations. It felt as though our presence was an inconvenience to them.

To make matters worse, the food took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and poorly prepared. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they were dismissive and did not offer any apologies or solutions.

Overall, the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the staff was shocking. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will certainly not be returning.

Save yourself the trouble and find another...
