We recently got the cake made for our baby shower from this place and was expecting it to be good based on our previous experience

But no it turned out to be such a bad experience

First thing first their 8 inch cake which they call XL is just a small cake for $200 and when you see its just a basic cake

Then the decoration on the cake was actual plastic balls from smaller to bigger size

Mind it many parties have kids involved who eat cake and how dangerous it can be for children

Atleast in $200 for 8 inch cake the cake balls could have been helpful becos what if a child gets choked eating ball unintentionally You might have informed fhe person who ordered cake but in a party of 100 people one person cannot keep on informing everybody that its a dummy decoration So all in all would never go back to place and recommend to provide service matching your pricing as one thing it was not enough for 70-80 people and it had a decor which vould be dangerous with choking hazard for kids...

On July 1st, I urgently needed a birthday cake for a friend around 4–4:30 PM. After calling several bakeries with no luck—most didn’t have any ready-made cakes left at the end of the day—I reached out to Piece of Cake.

To my surprise, someone kindly offered to try and make a cake within 30 minutes and asked for a bit of time to confirm with their delivery person. They followed up shortly after to confirm that delivery would be possible. The entire experience—from the prompt and clear text communication to the on-time delivery—was absolutely seamless.

The cake itself was delicious and beautifully made. It truly saved the day, especially since I live in Calgary and couldn’t be there in person. I really appreciate their incredible customer service and willingness to go above and beyond....

I ordered a two-tier cake for a baby shower. The cake was light and fresh, with a simple, very mild flavor—not overpowering or complex. Whether that’s good or bad depends on personal preference (I prefer stronger flavours). However, the decoration and flowers I chose were different from what I received. The reference photo featured hydrangea flowers, which hold special meaning for us and were a key reason for selecting that design, but they were replaced with more basic flowers. I also specifically requested pastel colors, which were not delivered. Overall, when you pay over $200 for a cake, you expect more attention to detail.
