This was my first visit and I will likely not return. We arrived around 6pm (two of us), and most of the tables were empty. After seating ourselves, our drink order was taken very quickly and the beer brought immediately. The first sign of service issues was that a second staff member tried to bring the same drink order to the table after we'd already received it. We were then left sitting for 30+ minutes without having our food order taken or anyone coming by the table. We only got our food order in after flagging down a staff member taking the food order of the table next to us, who had arrived significantly after we had. That table also got their food a while before we did, even though the orders went in at the same time. There was also a photographer there with a very bright fluorescent flash set up, photographing some food. We had to watch many dishes come from the kitchen to his table without any food making it to our table (he arrived 30 minutes after we were seated and seemed to be hired by the business). No one came to our table at all in the period between ordering the food and the food arriving, and the food was just ok when it arrived. Not what I would expect for an $18 burger and fries. I would have expected at least an acknowledgment of the extensive wait (an hour between sitting and receiving food, despite the restaurant being relatively empty). My final issue is that it was really cold. I had on a sweater and had to keep my hands inside my sleeves but it was so cold that that didn't even help. We were seated very far away from the door, but it just seemed to be the general temperature of the business. The table on one side of us was also loudly saying how cold they were, and the table on the other side was wearing hats throughout their meal. The staff was really friendly but there doesn't seem to be a good system in place to provide efficient, good customer service. The food wasn't worth the frustration/price for us, so we will likely go...
Read moreI had an unforgettable 31st champagne birthday celebration at The Duke’s Public House!
I recently hosted a private event at The Duke’s Public House for my birthday, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, Scott, Justin, and David and staff made the experience seamless, personalized, and genuinely enjoyable—not only for me but for every one of my guests.
The venue itself is stunning: stylish yet cozy, with the perfect atmosphere for both mingling and celebrating. The private space was beautifully arranged, giving us the perfect balance of exclusivity and access to the bar and amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire evening. From allowing me to decorate early, making sure the drinks were flowing and every detail was handled, they truly went above and beyond.
The communication leading up to the event was also great. They were responsive, flexible, and made sure my ideas and preferences were reflected in the setup. Planning an event can be stressful, but their team made it effortless and fun.
If you’re thinking about booking The Duke’s for a private event, don’t hesitate. It’s a hidden gem for special occasions, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the way they helped bring my birthday vision to life. Truly a 5-star experience from beginning to end. I’ll definitely book them for another event—and so will many...

OK look, it's 3:30PM on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and I'm looking for something simple. So I decided to check out this spot for the first time.
I ordered their wings and calamari. While both dishes are extreme favorites of mine, they're usually hit or miss at so many establishments around our little city. Well, the order arrived with extra napkins and side plates for the mess I'm about to get myself into with the wings coated generously with their buffalo sauce.
The verdict, the calamari was so good, crispy on the outside yet flavorful inside. Some little touches on the plate helped break and cleanse the palette.
Alright, what about the wings? First off, if I was to attach two of them on my back I could probably fly!! Jokes aside, jumbo wings are the name of the game here, folks. Cooked to the bone, and whatever that brine or marinade they're using... yes; it's great!!! Some celery sticks on the side helps to break and cleanse the palette after eating a few wings.
Very well done to the service staff and the chef at this place. Thank you for being patient with me and you must know that I'll be back and this time to try more items...
