Went for dinner on Friday night, only 2 min to be seated, nice, dinning room was busy, unfortunately our experiance wasnt what i had hoped for, sat at table by the kitchen, very noisey, dinning room was busy, waited almost 15 min for somebody to come to table to see us, ordered drinks, pepsi and water, and recieved those pretty quick, noticed no napkins or cutlery on table, approx 20 min later we were able to order, ordered app and dinner at the same time, asking for app to come out first, approx 20 min, the app shows up, we ordered the Garlic Parm Fries, they were very hot and tastey, nice, had to ask for napkins still no cutlery, dinning room had emptied at this point, still no dinner, had to make eye contact with server to get a refill of my pepsi, still no dinner, approx 20 min later we were told food was on it way, server did apologize for the wait, finally dinner showed up, and had to ask for cutlery again so we could eat, almost an hr had past from ordering to getting our dinner, but, i will say very please with the dishes we ordered, lots of food and very HOT, awesome, I ordered the Spagetti and Meatballs, extra meatballs, sause, cheese baked twice and galic bread with cheese, I was very please with that meal, meatball were cooked perfect lots sauce and chesse and hot, daughter ordered Chicken Parm, she was very pleased with the portions and it was also hot, my son ordered the Beet Goat Cheese salad with grilled Chicken breast and Chicken breast was hot and salad was very flavourful, table service was very flow, kitchen was very slow, but the saving grace of the night was the food itself was awesome. After waiting so long for dinner, desert was out of the question. Price of dinner was what i expected and satisfied, tip would have been larger had we not experiance a lengthy wait and a little better service althought the server was very pleasant. Went with the family to take advantage of the Kids Eat Free promotion. It was in fact our first time sitting down in a restaurant all together.
When we arrived, we were seated promptly, however there was a very long wait before someone came to take our drink order. When the server came, she was very good with our kids, and was quite friendly and patient with them.
We ordered the bandera bread to start. A bit slow being brought out, and when it did there was still paper stuck to the bottom of it that we had to peel off. We chalked this mistake up to a simple kitchen error, so we didn't bother mentioning it to the server. We were also missing a plate, meaning one of us had to use the communal plate as their own. The bread itself was good and was we expected.
The one kid got a bugs n' cheese (mac n cheese) with fries. While he didn't like the mac n cheese (I tried it and it was fine, he just didn't want it as kids do sometimes.) he really liked the fries. Unfortunately, there was no ketchup at our table so we had to grab one from another table ourselves.
My wife and I ordered the Royal Hawaiian with no red onions. When the pizza came to the table, we discovered that they put red onion on it, May not seem like a big deal, but frankly, we find onion on pizza disgusting. Server was apologetic and had the kitchen remake the pizza. Unfortunately by the time we received it, we had been there for 2 hours and it was one of the child had fallen asleep, so we had to take the pizza to go. (Which was quite good when we finally did eat it.)
While we were waiting for the remade pizza, there was a period of 20 minutes where we had empty drinks and our attempts to flag our server down were unsuccessful. Ultimately, we ended up getting the refills by ourselves.
When we received the bill, we noticed that despite all of the mistakes, we were charged full price for the order. Perhaps since the kids meal was free, they couldn't comp anything, but it's a weird feeling to go to a sit down restaurant for a family experience, and not be able to eat the dinner we ordered. I would have rather been given options.
Not a great experience. Do...
Read moreI've been 3 times, first I got cheese ravioli, second just for drinks (dined inside and had a fly in my drink...they got me a new one without fuss thankfully), third time my partner and I treated his parents to dinner. I have an eating disorder and often don't eat unless I know I will enjoy it. So to be safe I ordered the cheese ravioli again since I actually loved it the first time. Our food finally came after a very long wait despite the place being fairly empty, everyone dug in but I noticed something different in my ravioli...it was full of green peppers (I'm allergic.) This was strange, other dishes on the menu that had green peppers said they did, and I know it didn't have them the first time...so...I push the plate back and I gather the courage to get our waitresses attention, it takes a while as she is very busy, I finally get her to stop now that everyone else is almost done eating and politely ask if the dish was supposed to have green peppers in it, she says she doesn't know and leaves before I can say anything else... the dish now cold I awkwardly offer it to someone else at our table, hungry and pretty upset I flag down a different waitress... at least wanting to know if the recipe changed? And I shouldn't order it again and she also just said she didn't know and rushed off before I could get another word in... money down the drain, no idea if the first ravioli I had was wrong, or if the new one was wrong...or if the recipe changed? What a stressful and awkward mess leaving me hungry and throwing away like 20 bucks... I won't bother going back, otherwise risk getting sick with no one that can answer me... A real shame as the first ravioli I had was...
