Noodlebox — Restaurant in Hamilton

Top 3 worst noodles I’ve ever had in my life as a mid 20s asian, not even joking. Visually appealing, but the taste is the complete opposite. I ordered off of ubereats, the teriyaki and spicy peanut box. Teriyaki tastes terrible, spicy peanut is unseasoned; both are pretty much near uneatable after half a box, after your initial hunger is satiated. Mind blowing how highly this place is rated, try it out for yourself if you want to waste your money. Notice how all the top ratings are NOT by asian people. Also not to mention my box only had like 5 small pieces of char siu pork (+$5.12 surcharge). Meaning I paid over $1 a piece for some mid pork? 👎 Awful stuff really.

Edit (after another 5 minutes of “eating”): The teriyaki noodles, honest to god, taste as if a child threw some ingredients together in a wok. I’m shocked at how bad this tastes, almost like ginger vomit.

The spicy peanut noodles are simply way too unsalted, the sauce and noodles basically taste like a mouthful of peanut butter with a hint of curry. Atmosphere was calming however the service and food weren’t pleasing to say the least. Me and my boyfriend ordered here tonight for the first time ever, going based off the ingredients the menu said didn’t expect an overwhelming amount of cabbage or cabbage at all (wasn’t mentioned). I was asking the person serving us about the protein in the meal I chosen (the kids meal of sweet and sour) he was giving off a rude attitude I was finding but brushed it aside. And when my boyfriend ordered his (honey garlic regular size meal) he asked for hot sauce and the employee gave him a strange look and asked “you really want that” making it seem like he should second guess himself on the spice level, my partner likes spicy so that’s what he got.

Either way the employee seemed rude and had an attitude, food didn’t look appealing or taste good in either of our opinions. What got us to want to make the review was because it had ingredients that weren’t listed and an overwhelming amount of cabbage even when not listed. It was date night for the hubby and I so we grabbed a quick bite before a movie.

Let me tell you this was fast fresh and delicious!

I had the chicken teriyaki bowl just as the menu board recommended. (I like to try things how they come originally before adding stuff to it before I try something else on the menu) and I was blown away it was hot, fresh veggies and the noodles were perfect! It could use a bit more chicken and a little less sauce for my personal preference. But all the flavours were spot on!

My hubby has the Butter Chicken just at the menu bored recommended and the flavours of this butter chicken! Freaking amazing. And I’ve had authentic Butter Chicken made for me many times and this was delicious! Tastes pretty darn good.

The atmosphere was nice a quick spot to grab and go. Very clean and the staff were absolutely fantastic!

We got in about 830pm and were able to eat comfortably and catch out movie for 9:30. We spent about 30-35$ that was a tip included
