Bronzie's Place — Restaurant in Hamilton

The waitress was very friendly while I was taking my seat. I ordered takeout & decided on either veal or chicken parmajan (surprise me) & enjoyed a nice cold draft beer while waiting. lol been a while since I had a draft... When I arrived home, it was still pretty hot & the "veal" (thank you 😊) was big & yummy! My son & I split it. It's enough for 2 if you add 2 proper size salads to go with it. Their house dressing was good, just not enough in takeout containers, ask for 2. Plus, get more sauce, ask them for a side of it so it doesn't make your meat soggy. Our sauce was in one area, which made the breading soaked. I just scrapped it off 1st. Lol. Then we needed more sauce... hahahaha 😁 So, yeah, I'd recommend Bronzie's to others & I'll go back there next time I'm by there to try something else. Maybe pizza next time... Some regulars were reaching over the bar for things. The bar tender when he looked didn't stop anyone. Maybe they are family or something?? Or, having regulars interrupt the waitress while taking my order. It wasn't anything that couldn't have waited, nor was it polite to do... The waitress did apologize for that, and I appreciated her for it. Just seemed like the regulars didn't want others there, taking up the staff's time. The poor waitress was trying to hold down conversations with people & her job. My boyfriend and I went to Bronzie's on a Thursday night. We both have been their prior, however, we never has such a bad experience. When we get to the restaurant it was pretty busy but there were a few tables that were opening up. Both waitresses (2) walked by us multiple times and did not say anything to us. Eventually, after being there for over 5-10 minutes, a waitress came over and pointed out a table that was empty but they just need to clean it up and we would be able to get seated there shortly. As we were about to sit down, a couple came in behind us and had a reservation and the waitress ended up giving them the table they promised us, right in front of us even though there was a table that was in the process of leaving. After we were finally seated another 5-10 minutes later, it took another 15-20 minutes for a waitress to get our drink order, where we just ended up ordering everything: 2 waters and 2 pastas (that came with salad and bread). After another 20-30 minutes, we still did not receive our waters so another waitress ended up coming by and asking us again about what we ordered and brought us 2 plastic bottles of water (at a restaurant!!!). About 50 minutes- 1hr later, we got our pastas without being brought the salads as an appetizer. The waitress forgot and said she can pack them instead for us to take home, but we were insistent on eating our salads in the restaurant. I also had to ask her for our bread, and cheese to put on the pastas (which were both not brought until we pretty much finished our meals). The waitresses clearly favoured other tables over ours and it was pretty evident that they did not care about giving us good service at all (as we had to always wave down the waitresses to get us different items and tell us what they forgot at our table). This was by far the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. I would not recommend going if you like getting...

Bronzies is a Hamilton legend and it is always a pleasure to grab something to eat here. Your going to find traditional Italian foods, nothing fancy but everything is really delicious. Drink selection is the same, with minimal options for beer, wines and liquors. The service is pretty good, the ladies who serve are really nice but sometimes you can get lost in the crowd when its busy. Nonetheless the food is served in a very reasonable time after ordering, it's like efficient chaos.

Overall the prices are really good, they have daily specials and on Tuesdays they have a 'specials' night where you can choose to sample a bunch of different entrees for a very reasonable price (Tuesday night is a great night to go if you haven't been here before, great deals and not so busy). You should be prepared to spend between $15-25 per person on food, and about $35-40 with a couple beers. I would recommend the goodfellas pizza, the chicken wings (top 10 in Hamilton) and the lasagna, there are other great options, these are my favourites.

A couple of things to keep in mind about the restaurant. First it is really small, so if you are looking to have a small gathering or a date night I suggest you call ahead. Second, it is really cozy, I mean really cozy. Larger individuals might find it difficult to move around inside because of the small spaces between the tables. Also it is not a wheelchair accessible location.
