I want to start off this review by saying that I've been here before and that I always enjoy my time here. The staff are super nice, and it's amazing if you're an introvert and want a restaurant with a calm atmosphere. I would even go as far to say that it's a good restaurant for people who have sensory issues, because there's never too much chatter, they usually play calm lofi and the lighting isn't abrasive. They even have board games!!! It's awesome here.
However, there's a few negatives, and I'm not one to complain typically, but I really think these subtracted from the experience.
Firstly, there were SEVERAL items that were sold out/not available on the drink menu, like at least half of the non-alcoholic drinks. Our server was very understanding and patient, but it was still a bit upsetting.
Secondly, my dad ordered the cheesy baked rice, and it looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Instead of having appetizing broiled cheese on top, there was a white cream sauce covering it. There was a bit of mozzarella underneath that, but for twenty dollars, he didn't deem it worth the price.
The bento rice bowls tasted fantastic! I and my mom thoroughly enjoyed them, however, the server informed us that yet again, the meal pictured on the menu was not what we were getting. Instead of getting the rice bowl complete with the toppings, a bowl of miso soup as well as vegetables, you would only get the rice bowl(with the toppings). Our water was also served room temperature and we had to request ice, which I honestly think should be the other way around.
If anything, I think the social lounge could benefit from updating their menu. It could be the day we came on, but it seems they need to keep their non-alcoholic drink menu more simple and easy to order from. Not to mention, the images on the menu do not represent what you'll actually be receiving the majority of the time. This is more constructive criticism, as I did enjoy my meal but I think these suggestions could improve the experience a lot more. Thanks for reading my really, really...
Read moreSo, the SO and I are never going back to this place. The waitresses just stand around on their cellphones or chatting. We waited for more than 10 minutes before anyone came to give us menus. We ordered a mild hot pot and received a medium 40 minutes later (still no water at this point). We told the waitress that it was too spicy and we had ordered a mild. She said she would talk to the manager and never came back. Another 30 minutes later, no one came to talk to us. I flagged down another waitress and asked if we could have some hot water to pour into the soup to dilute the spicy-ness down. She left and never came back. At this point it’s been almost two hours so the SO and I get up to leave. Then the boss comes and asks us why were leaving, so I explained that we wanted some hot water to dilute the order they had messed up and he blatantly told us he wasn’t willing to do that for us. So we got up to leave and he demands that we pay for the hot pot that we never ate. He says, “if you never ate it how come you know it’s too spicy??” We go next door to Ajio and 10 minutes later as we’re looking at menus the boss and his wife storms in, arms flapping, threatening to call the police on us. We ignored them and they eventually left. The best part? They sent a waitress to spy on us throughout our dinner. When we were about to leave she walked past our table and told us “shame on you”. Needless to say if you treat your customers this way, you’re going to...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars to the costumer service I would ! Went out for a cute little family dinner with our 2 years old to get ramen from here the food was ok but as we started eating the server comes and takes our menu and all decor from the table as we’re about to finish eating and we’re going to order bubble tea they come and take the other menu and everything else from the table besides the food . I asked why they didn’t let us order more and look at the menu the general manager said cos my child is being too messy and can damage their menus we’ve been here many times with her and never had an issue I told the manager that what he said and did was unprofessional and rude in a way and he told me “you should parent your child better “ ok bud . My daughter is 2 years old and very well behaved for her age she was just sitting and eating I’m sorry that she’s still a toddler and had a couple noodles fall out of her plate . They became very defensive and I started taking a video for our safety I’m not going to post it as it is illegal .at the end the waitress started yelling out offensive words in mandarin me and my husband both understood exactly what she was saying she was yelling at us as we are tried to leave they did not let us pay for our food but I still reached out and offered to send money for our meal . But yeah will never be back here they never have costumers for a reason ! Don't go here if you want your night...
