I feel like I was robbed. The food was the worst (no exaggeration) I've ever had at any restaurant. I paid $75 for what should have been no more than $45 at the absolute tops.

I got my take out and went home and this is what I had...

I ordered: Jolof rice with assorted meat Chicken pies Chicken? Or rooster leg Extra container of sauce on the side Deep fried donuts 2 drinks

-The jambalaya rice I thought it was going to be filled with meat especially because it was $25 for it. Get this, it came with 3 chunks of meat. 1 tripe which was tougher to chew on than leather and 2 unknown pieces of meat that were dry. -Chicken pies were 95% dough with 5% filling (pictured). I was eating dry bread pretty much. -The legs were dry as well -Deep fried donuts were greasy but the best tasting thing off what I listed. -2 drinks were nothing special. Just tasted like 7up or sprite -extra container of sauce was meant for my plain rice at home and I did not even touch it. I was taught to never throw away food and I threw it out.

The only good experience I had was with the lady serving me. She seemed nice. Unfortunately the nice lady can't save me from ever returning. With the 75$ i spent, i could have had 2-3 more items then what I got from anywhere else and way better...

Temmy's Kitchen is HOME!... And it's not just because the food is delicious beyond description, it is because of all the other intangible things that come with the experience! The smiles, the heartfelt greetings as soon as you walk in, the laughs and stories as you wait to be served, the pure joy that resonates from every member of staff. Temmy's kitchen ALWAYS goes the extra mile and I am so glad to have such rich representation of Nigerian Cuisine in Hamilton! Once, I called to order some moimoi late at night, after 8pm... it was all sold out, naturally lol! But with such enthusiasm and joy she said, "not to worry I will make you a fresh batch right now, come by in an hour!" I was blown away! I went by, picked up my gazillion moimoi lol.. the staff helped me to my car, brazing the snow and slippery ice. I felt like royalty! So happy to have my food, so blessed to be supporting a business that pours heart and soul into their art and service! :) Keep going, Temmy's Kitchen! We are fully behind you! I'm looking forward to a Mountain location in the near future but until then, I'm happy to make the drive as often as...

Review for Temmy’s Kitchen, Hamilton

I visited Temmy’s Kitchen in Hamilton on Sunday while on holiday with my family. We were excited to try their food and ordered a variety of dishes including poundo, egusi soup, vegetable soup, jollof rice, fried rice, and pastries.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The egusi soup was served cold—literally cold like a dog’s nose—which made the meal less enjoyable. To make matters worse, we were charged extra simply because we dined in. This wasn’t disclosed upfront, and it felt exploitative.

As a customer, I don’t appreciate hidden charges or poor food quality. Restaurants should be transparent with their pricing and ensure that all meals are served hot and fresh—especially traditional dishes that deserve proper care and presentation.

Also find something to do to that fair lady that doesn’t know how to talk to customers before she ruins your business but the tall guy was polite and respectful.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve service and...

Sometimes when i visit someplace and I know I have to give a poor review, I feel badly. But I spent my money here and then realized that my money would have been better spent at Island Queens on Kenilworth. A friend suggested African food for dinner and I started to crave jollof rice. Well, when I looked at the menu the price was $15.95, with chicken. When I went to pay she charged me $20. I quickly looked at the menu and started to calculate the tax. It was then that she pointed out the small sign that prices were subject to change. I should have declined the food then and there but still thought I should give it a chance. Even though I noticed she didn't ring the sale into the cash register. Well, of the two pieces of chicken, one was all bone. The chicken was dry like guinea fowl. (Guinea fowl - an old chicken that needs a lot of cooking to make it edible) The rice was also dry.
