Response to the owner Mike - 7th May 2025 I have clearly mentioned in the review that I visited your store again on Easter Day 2025. Previous pics are from my first review but the 3 pastries I reviewed recently were bought on Easter. When buying 3, I didn't receive any additional $1.50 off. Why is there so much discrepancy in the rates? The pics I posted clearly shows the rates. And you didn't mentioned anything about the cream and quality of your pastries? You did not even address to the stale cone in your hazelnut horn pastry? You did not even talk about the refund for the low quality stuff you ate selling! I have the credit card transaction for the proof of my visit!!
Visited this place again on Easter 2025. Bought 3 pastries. Though Black Forest Pastry looked good but it tasted really bad. The cream used was not fresh cream. It was made so stiff, like they have used palm oil in it. Even the hazelnut horn I got had this stale cone in it, which was soggy and smelly. Please use good quality ingredients, just don't sell for the sake of selling. I do not recommend their pastries at all. I also noticed that the price of Kahlua (Cannoli Roll) has increased from 4.95 to 7.50 in a short period of time. Lady on the till, however, was friendly and nice.
Placed 2 orders. My first order was 2 pastries ($12), both were good hence went ahead and placed the 2nd order. It was all good until my second order. I was highly disappointed with the quality and the quantity of the food. I ordered chicken pesto sandwich and it was priced at $13.50 + taxes + a cup of soup that I ordered, a total of $17+ Soup was nice but the sandwich was just not worth it! Either you increase the quantity and make it better or simply decrease the price. I am sorry to say but I felt cheated. The bread was overly crunchy and did hurt. You can see the pics attached. It's more than toasted, kind of looks burnt. There was just a small piece of chicken, just 1 tiny sized pepper (which was negligible), very little mushrooms and the rest of the sandwich was just loaded with tomatoes. It neither was worth it nor tasted good. Dont cheat the...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bread Company, a delightful bakery known for its exceptional bread. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods, which immediately heightened my anticipation.

In addition to their exceptional bread, Bread Company also offered a selection of pastries and sandwiches. Although I primarily focused on their bread, I couldn't resist trying a few pastries, which were equally delightful. The pastries were flaky, buttery, and filled with delicious flavors that complemented their bread offerings perfectly.

Read moreI recently visited The Bread Co. in downtown Bernard, Kelowna B.C. and was immediately impressed by the inviting aroma of fresh bread upon entering the establishment. The interior design features beautifully handcrafted chalkboard menus, dark woodgrain flooring, and white tile contrasted by a raised grey ceiling with exposed ventilation, and an attractive wall adorned with wood panels and a grass sign that reads "eat" in elegant script. The black and white pictures of the original owners and their migration story from Holland to Kelowna add a charming personal touch to the decor.
I couldn't resist trying some of the bread and breakfast dishes offered. The Bread Co. has been in the family for three generations, and some of their recipes have been passed down from relatives in Holland, which made me excited to taste their offerings. While the coffee was familiar and sourced from a local company named Cherry Hill, I was impressed by the variety of dishes available.
After contemplating between the huevos rancheros and their famous eggs Benedict, I decided to try their new breakfast item, the Eggs Florentine croissantwich. The dish featured two beautifully poached eggs, spinach, and hollandaise sauce on a butter croissant. Upon taking my first bite, I was immediately impressed by the texture and flavor of the butter croissant, showcasing their expertise in bread making. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly buttery, while the spinach and poached eggs added a refreshing and lightly seasoned flavor. This dish was filling without being overwhelming, making it a perfect breakfast option that leaves you feeling fulfilled.
Overall, I highly recommend The Bread Co. for anyone visiting Kelowna B.C. Its unique and personalized decor, combined with their exceptional bread and breakfast dishes, make it a gem in the downtown core that's...
