D Spot used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Kelowna — until tonight. On April 9th, around 9 PM, my wife and I went for dinner and were shocked by the treatment we received. The waiter refused to take our order, accusing us of throwing food on the floor during a previous visit. We made it clear this never happened, but he repeated the accusation multiple times and insisted they had “proof.” After keeping us waiting for 20+ minutes, another staff member finally admitted they mistook us for another couple — simply because my wife wears a hijab. Even after realizing their mistake, the apology came too late. We were already humiliated, disrespected, and judged based on appearance. To make it worse, the staff showed zero concern when we said we’d leave a review — as if our voices don’t matter. If anyone on their team doubts this, they’re welcome to review the cameras and confront me directly. I used to recommend D Spot to everyone. After tonight, I strongly advise against it. No one should be treated this way — ever.

It's a lovely new spot to check out. We had dinner here on a Sunday night. It wasn't too crowded and didn't have to wait too long to be seated. The food came pretty quickly. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. We ordered a steak and onion pizza, classic cheese burger, meat poutine, cheesy fries, and for dessert, which had a shaky shake and skillet cookie (Ferrero rocher) Everything was cooked well and looked absolutely delicious. The quantity of food was good for the price. The only little disappointment was the size of the patty in the burger, which looked a little small for the buns, but the taste made up for it. Shaky shake felt a little plain, so we added some of the chocolate from the cookie to sweeten it up. The cookie was just the best! It's definitely something to try. Beautifully served, with just the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere was very pleasant, definitely a place to come with family and friends. The menu is all Halal and kosher certified. They also have gluten-free and vegan menu items.

My partner and I wanted to try something new and decided to come here as we saw someone rave about it on Facebook. Walking in I noticed that it wasn’t terribly busy, which was great. It also smelt really good when walking in. Our server, Kamal was super sweet and friendly. For my drink I tried their chai. I was both surprised and pleased when I took my first sip since it didn’t taste anything close to the chai lattes I normally get. It reminded me of how my friend would make her chai’s but with a little more cardamom added. For food I tried their Hidden Gem, which was a jam packed crepe with a lava cake inside and fruit. It was delicious and the added bananas helped with the extreme sweetness of it. I also tried their Pesto Chicken Pizza, which was also delicious. It tasted homemade, especially the dough which was nice and fluffy. Overall the experience was amazing and I hope to try everything on the menu.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a dessert restaurant that left me with a big smile on my face and a happy belly. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a delightful aroma of sweet treats that instantly transported me to dessert heaven.

The menu was a masterpiece of sugary delights, with an array of mouthwatering options to choose from. There were decadent cakes, fluffy pastries, creamy ice creams, and innovative dessert creations that pushed the boundaries of culinary imagination.

I decided to start with their signature dessert, the "Sweet Symphony Sundae." It was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, with layers of velvety chocolate mousse, crunchy caramelized nuts, and a generous drizzle of luscious caramel sauce. Each spoonful was an orchestra of taste sensations that made me want to shout "Encore!"

Next, I indulged in their "Puff Pastry Paradise." This delicate pastry was a work of art, with layers of flaky goodness encasing a creamy vanilla custard filling. It was like biting into a cloud of happiness, and I couldn't help but savor every delicate bite.

But the real showstopper of the evening was the "Cheeky Chocolate Cake." This towering masterpiece had layers upon layers of rich chocolate cake, sandwiched between velvety smooth chocolate ganache and topped with a cascade of glossy chocolate glaze. It was a chocolate lover's dream come true, and I couldn't resist having a second slice!

The staff at the dessert restaurant were as sweet as the treats they served. They were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their craft. Their knowledge and enthusiasm added an extra sprinkle of joy to the already delightful dining experience.

Overall, my visit to this dessert restaurant was a delightful journey of flavors and a feast for the senses. If you have a sweet tooth and a love for all things dessert, this place is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. So go ahead, treat yourself and indulge in a little slice of...

Really wanted to try this new place out and was excited when we first entered as the atmosphere was nice and modern/ very clean looking. Right away I noticed there was only one other table yet it took over five minutes for somebody to come to the front. After we were sat we ordered a waffle and then two more items, each item was atleast a 10/15 min wait even for a slice of cheese cake. When the server finally came and asked us how we are I told her I didn't like the cheese cake or the parfait. They only had a few bites taken off them so she offered a to go box ? It made no sense, since I didn't like it I didn't want to take them home. She didn't offer another item or to take the item away, not any sort of fix. I then asked for the bill and she charged us the full $15 for the cheese cake we had two bites of.....

I was not impressed with the service provided and the quality of the food did not match the price range in my opinion. For example, I saw somebody else mention the ice cream tasted strange and I agree. Also the parfait whip cream was like a cool whip instead of real whip cream.

Over all the service and quality of food for the price range was disappointing. Would...

My husband and I last night visited D Spot and were treated with significant disrespect. A staff member accused us of a previous incident involving throwing food on the floor, simply because I was wearing a hijab. Despite our efforts to explain that we had never been involved, the staff insisted we were the same people from the past incident.

What made this more upsetting is that we used to go to D Spot frequently since they first opened. We were regulars, and to be treated this way was deeply disappointing.

The staff claimed to have proof but made us wait for over 20 minutes without any verification. Another staff member eventually realized we were not the people involved, but by then, we had been treated poorly for an extended time.

When we mentioned writing a review, the staff dismissively said reviews “don’t matter” because they disappear over time. Although we eventually received an apology, it came far too late after a long period of unfair accusations based solely on my appearance.

We left without ordering and will not return. This experience showed a lack of respect and unfair judgment, and I encourage others to...
