Antico Pizza Napoletana — Restaurant in Kelowna

1 star completely. I gave it 2 for what this place used to be. Hummus had amazing rich garlic flavor and olive oil from italy. Pizza was cooked to perfection, almost burn bubbles oh the crust from the 900 oven, perfectly turned and manged to create that Italian stone fire flavor. Yet a soft and toppings to melt your mouth. The pasta "baked" with a layer of gooey cheese and you dive into aldente noodles and imported tomatoe sauce. Finally cheese cake galore so light, airy and the fresh berry sauce on top a real tip of hat to the entire meal.

Unfortunately tonight I paid $100 for all of the above mentioned favorites to my amaze. Almost could throw it on the trash in the stark comparison of what I know tony and his team is capable as I mentioned above.

As you have read my expectations for these dishes me and my spouse couldn't wait to eat.

Pizza- No bubbling delicious crunchy crust. Under cooked and rushed

Ceaser Salad - head lettuce style and usually amazing . No sauce, no parmesano, no olive oil and the dressing, have had better from kraft. What happend to garlic.

Hummus and Pita - would swim across the lake for an order normally. What we have here is again underseasoned and lacking garlic again.

Finally the cheesecake - still amazing. Yet was...

This is hands down the best, authentic pizza I have had outside of Italy. I really appreciate the quality of the food and the ingredients. I am surprised to see some of the negative reviews comparing this to Fresh Slice. It's not a fair one, to be honest. If you prefer Americanized, quantity over quality pizza, then yeah go to a different pizza place. This ain't it. Also, there aren't many dipping sauces because that is Americanized as well. I really dislike when people go to a traditional food place and expect to eat what they can get at a Domino's.

I appreciate I have access to the quality and authenticity of this pizzeria in Kelowna. The chef and sous chefs are really nice as well. Tony is talented!

The only problem I have is with the servers and cashiers. The service has been soooo bad every single time I have come here. I have tried take out twice, and even then they were rude. When I dine in, they keep forgetting to bring water when I ask them... and this has happened every single time. I understand that the food is expensive because of the ingredients, but I don't see any point in tipping (even if I do because I understand the importance of it), I am barely even...

Overrated and overhyped pizza 🍕Believe me, it's just an average pizza, not worth the hype at all so don't waste your money, it's just an ordinary pizza, you will find more fresh tasting pizzas at Fresh slice with generous topping so don't fall for it, moreover very expensive for the portion size. I ordered the chicken pizza, have posted the pics, you can see yourself if you find it extraordinary or simply ordinary!

It is the chicken pizza, so you don't recognize your own creation? Strange! Comparing you to Fresh slice was actually not right coz they are much better than you. And if you find the pic of this pizza amazing then there's certainly something wrong with you or you have not had a good pizza in your life. Try Pizza Studio if not fresh slice, they too serve some amazing pizzas and their quality is top notch. There was hardly any topping on the pizza, what were you thinking while selling, just trying to rip off, huh? Stay away from them guys, they don't even admit their mistake. And if you don't want any such comments going forward, then start giving customers what they deserve for...
