We had such a wonderful experience dining here that I felt compelled to leave a review. From start to finish, everything about our visit was excellent — from the generous portions to the welcoming atmosphere, and most of all, the incredible service from our server-in-training, Anureet.

Let’s start with the food. Every dish we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting even better. You can really tell that the kitchen takes pride in what they serve — everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and served hot. What impressed me most, though, was the portion size. Each plate was generous enough to satisfy even the hungriest appetite, but still presented with care and attention to detail. It’s the kind of food that not only fills you up but also makes you appreciate every bite. We even had leftovers to take home, which says a lot because everything was so good we didn’t want to stop eating!

The atmosphere added so much to the experience. The restaurant has a warm, inviting feel — classy without being pretentious, and comfortable enough that you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. The lighting was soft and flattering, the music was at just the right volume, and the overall vibe made it feel like the perfect place for both a nice dinner out or a casual get-together with friends. The space was spotless, the décor tasteful, and there was a calm, easy energy that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening.

But the real standout of the night was our server-in-training, Anureet. She was absolutely wonderful from the moment we sat down. Even though she mentioned she was still in training, you would never have known it from how confidently and warmly she handled everything. She greeted us with a genuine smile, took the time to go over the menu, and offered thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot-on.

What I appreciated most about Anureet was how attentive and professional she was without ever being intrusive. She checked in at just the right moments, made sure our drinks were always refilled, and ensured that every part of our meal was going smoothly. There was a moment when one dish was taking a little longer, and she came by proactively to let us know it was on its way — a small touch, but one that shows true care and awareness.

You can tell she takes her role seriously and genuinely enjoys making guests feel welcome. She has a great personality — friendly, polite, and full of positive energy — and she’s already doing an amazing job. It’s clear she’s going to be an outstanding server once her training is complete.

Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way: fantastic food in generous portions, a warm and relaxing environment, and exceptional service from a truly wonderful server-in-training. Huge thanks to the entire team, and especially to Anureet, for making our evening so memorable. We’ll definitely...

Major rave to Dawett fine indian restaurant last night. I’m celebrating our special anniversary. We chose this restaurant for a couple of reasons. Wanted to eat indian but not eat at the same place we always eat at. We didn’t want to order in it’s just not the same experience Change of scenery New experiences Pallet sensations Ok so we get to the spot and our table is ready for our reservation arrival, (we called ahead to book as we were unsure if there was space bring it out first time). The atmosphere was perfect dark maroon space with authentic indian pictures on the walls soft indian music in the background and booths for everyone. Keeping your space as private and secluded from other guests. First on the menu we had to try the chicken wings from hell. We love spice so this was a must. We also ordered 2 king fishers just in case. The flavours in the wings were so amazing and super flavourful left us coming back for more. Not spicy 🌶 for us but super awesome flavours that impacted both our palettes And highly highly recommend. Our main course was even better we decided to order eggplant 🍆 bartha it’s one of my absolute favourites and most places I’ve been to does not do it like India 🇮🇳. That dish was a hit. One reason being the presentation. Coming out in a dish with the candle below keeping it warm through out the dinner was amazing. These little thoughts of how to serve customers and give them an experience is exactly what this did for us. Amazing job. I ordered the lamb combo with the perfect balance of rice, salad, raita, and naan 🫓 bread. My lamb was cooked beautifully Abs the tastes were on par. My hubby ordered the seafood combo and it was so tasty every bite left you coming back for more. Our waitress Jasleen was not only incredible she was outstanding. Greeted us like we meant something to her. Her smile was infectious, she paid attention to all the details. She never skipped a beat. She was friendly and honestly such a beautiful soul to interact with. She made our time Anna special day feel awesome. So thank you to the entire staff And team at Daweet’s tonight for making my husband and I feel awesome. We definitely will be back and can’t wait to try more dishes in the menu. One other note the washrooms were so clean and that is another couple bonus points. Again thank you so much to the entire staff for an exceptional first experience that we look forward to again.

So happy...

I hit up Dawett Fine Indian Cuisine on October 19th, 2025, and wow — I was not ready for how good it was gonna be. From the second we walked in, the place just radiated cozy, welcoming energy. The lighting was warm, the music was soft, and the air smelled like pure spice magic. You know that mouth-watering scent that hits you and instantly makes you hungrier than you were five seconds ago? Yeah, that.

Our server mentioned they were still in training, but honestly, they did an amazing job. They were polite, patient, and genuinely trying their best. And it wasn’t just them — you could tell all the staff actually wanted to be there. Everyone was smiling, helping each other, and just seemed happy to be part of the team. That kind of energy totally sets the tone for the whole experience.

Now, onto the main event: the food. Everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely stunning. The curries were rich and flavourful — the kind that make you stop mid-conversation and go, “Okay wait, this is actually incredible.” The spice levels were perfectly balanced, the sauces had real depth, and you could taste the care that went into each dish. And that naan? Soft, fluffy, with just the right little crisp on the edges — total perfection. I could honestly eat that bread every day for the rest of my life.

Huge shoutout to the team for how seriously they handled my auntie’s nut allergy. They double-checked everything, confirmed it with the kitchen, and made sure she could eat safely without stressing. That kind of attentiveness is rare, and it really showed how much they care about their guests.

And the portions? Dawett does not mess around. We ended up with so much food leftover it felt like we’d fed a small army — but that’s a good problem to have. Everything looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and felt totally worth it.

Overall, Dawett nailed it. Great atmosphere, happy staff, and food that hits your soul. It’s one of those restaurants that makes you wanna drag all your foodie friends there just so they can experience it too. Five stars,...

We went in as a group and the first impression wasn’t great. There was no hostess when we walked in, and even though the place was mostly empty (maybe 3–4 tables occupied), we stood around for a few minutes before anyone noticed us. I asked about the rooftop patio since it was advertised, but we were told it wasn’t available. The service was honestly pretty bad. Our server didn’t check in at all, no refills unless we asked (and even then it took a while), and there was just no real effort. Since gratuity is automatically added for groups over six, you’d think the service would at least be decent. Instead, every time something came—menus, drinks, mains, naan—we had to pass it around ourselves, even though she could’ve easily handed it out. The naan especially was just dropped in one basket for the whole table, which felt lazy. The atmosphere wasn’t much better. The bar area had a blender running every so often, and it was so loud I could barely hear the person next to me. The food itself was okay, but portions were pretty small for the price, and rice or naan wasn’t included with the mains (which most Indian restaurants usually do). Overall, I wouldn’t go back. There are plenty of other spots in Kelowna that offer better service, bigger portions, and a more authentic experience.

The food was decent here, and better than what I had expected of Kelowna. I come from Toronto/GTA where there are many Indian restaurants. I always order the same dishes every time I have Indian. These are the dishes and what I thought of them: 1) Vegetarian Samosas - these were done very well and spicier than I had expected. But I love spicy so it was soo good! 2) Butter Chicken - I love the creamy tomato chicken curry, but I love my butter chicken HOT. They have a rating scale of 1-6, 1 being mild and 6 being extra hot. I asked how seriously they take their spices, and they said hot is really hot, so I picked a 5 expecting it to be hot. When it came, it wasn’t spicy at all to me. 3) Aloo Gobi - the taste was good, but some of the potatoes were hard and weren’t cooked thoroughly. 4) Garlic Naan - large size, and really good. 5) Rice - No complaints. The ambience and service was actually the best I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant, so I’m very happy about that. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would try it again.
