I don’t usually write reviews, but my recent experience at King Taps was so exceptional, I felt compelled to give a shoutout to our incredible server, Jaden. From the moment we were seated, she brought such a warm, positive energy to the table that it genuinely enhanced our entire evening. She was not only welcoming and friendly, but also super professional and confident in a way that made us feel like we were in great hands.
What really stood out about Jaden was how effortlessly she balanced being attentive without ever being overbearing. She had this way of checking in at just the right moments—whether it was to top off drinks, see how we were enjoying the food, or just to chat for a quick second and keep the vibe fun and comfortable. You could tell she was tuned in and genuinely cared about giving us a great experience, not just going through the motions.
She also clearly knew the menu inside out. When we asked for recommendations, she didn’t just list the most popular items—she asked a couple quick questions about what we were in the mood for and made suggestions that felt tailored to our preferences. Every single dish she recommended hit the mark. It’s rare to have someone who makes you feel like they’re actually guiding you through a meal rather than just taking your order, and Jaden did exactly that.
Even as the restaurant got busier later in the night, her energy never dropped. She was still smiling, still checking in, and still delivering an outstanding level of service to every table around us. It was impressive to watch her manage everything so smoothly while keeping that same friendly attitude throughout.
By the time we left, my whole table was talking about how awesome she was. Jaden is the kind of server that turns a night out into a genuinely memorable experience. If you're heading to King Taps, I highly recommend asking for her—you won't be disappointed. Major kudos to her for being such a standout in a fast-paced environment. We'll definitely be back, and hopefully, we’ll be lucky enough to have her...
Read moreYesterday my mother and I went to King’s Taps for the first time and had one of the best dining experiences to date.
The atmosphere was unique in the sense that it truly felt like we were on vacation somewhere warm and tropical. The patio veiw looking out onto the water was great! 10/10
Our Server was a wonderful women named Carla P, She was friendly, quick, funny and provided amazing service. The place was completely packed and still she made our table feel like a priority. 11/10
I myself am a very picky eater and it’s safe to say KingsTaps is picky eater approved. We started with with vegan Rosted Broccolini ($13.75), Vegan Brussels Sprouts ($13.75) and Salt n’ Pepper Chicken Wings ($18.25). All 3 of the appetizers were flavourful and very well portioned, my first thought was that $13 for some vegetables was a little pricey but I revoked that statement after seeing the portion size and tasting those yummy Veggies. Wings also score a full 10/10.
My entrée was the Salmon Fresca ($30.75), once again portion size was perfect and the taste was amazing. The pesto sauce was tangy and flavourful and the salmon was cooked perfectly, surprisingly the rice that accompanied the dish was my favourite part, the Fennel and Dill mixed with the Pesto Sauce had my mouth watering. 10/10
I wish I could have tried all three of the desserts because the Caramel Chocolate Mousse Trio ($11.75) was so good I might go back and just sit and order there cocktails and Mousse. 3 jars of mousse with chocolate bar inside. 11/10.
Whoever made the cocktail list needs a raise because the Pick Flamingo (2oz $12.50) was not only tasty and refreshing but also looked super cute! The whole drink menu looked amazing but definitely not the place to casually drink when one drink cost more then dessert. Still completely worth getting 1 or 2 drinks! 9/10

Read moreMy first time posting a review, the service was this bad to make me post. I called to make a reservation for 19 people a week in advance for the dinner. Chatted with a male staff, confirmed the best they could do is two long tables side by side on the first floor. Cannot accommodate patio seating and the upstairs might not be opened since is a Thursdays, told me to call back the day of to confirm if the patio is opened and might be able to move us up, which is totally fine. Took my name and phone number for the booking. All seems well until the day of. I called back to asked if my booking could be moved from 6:30pm to 8pm, the lady who claimed herself as the assistant manager said my booking was cancelled two days after I booked because I never I responded to confirm my booking. I did not receive any call or text message to confirm anything and they cancelled the booking on me. I had 19 people flying from all around the world to celebrate a graduation. Advance booking was done and confirmed.
The lady blamed it back on me that they only take large booking via email. Her staff took my reservation over the phone and did not mention anything about booking via email. She said my booking has been taken by other people at 6:30pm and nothing she could do. The only offer was to eat at 8pm, and the best she could do is to sit us in separate booths. She thinks that is a better seating than long table. Well who would want that for a celebration. She said sitting at long table does not have enough space to move around to chat with other people but booths can. I do not understand her concept, how can someone in the center of the booth move freely to chat with others. Anyways, they did not do anything to make up their mistake.
My family ended up having to make a reservation last minute next door at Cactus Club who offers the same view, excellent service and a long table...
