O'Flannigan's Pub — Restaurant in Kelowna

My friends and I went out for a karaoke night last night. The atmosphere was great as well as our drinks and food. The disappointment came from our server when she felt the need to be rude and disrespectful. She messed up our bills and instead of fixing the problem she basically told us that I owed my friend the difference because she messed up. That wasn’t even the end of it sadly. Upon the rest of us paying our bills we are told that we need to order from the bar because she doesn’t serve tables that don’t tip. My friends and I all work in the service industry and generally tip very well. We tipped low because her service was slow and she was very inattentive. She left empty plates and glasses on our table. We had to have the manager clear our plates and put our dirty glasses on another table because she avoided our table completely. we waited well over half an hour for a drink order to be taken. At one point our friend went to the bar to order because she hadn’t come back. We come to Oflannagans often (almost twice a week) and have never felt so disappointed and disrespected. Management however was very understanding and polite. We will be back because we like the pub but definitely do not want that server or her...

We have been going to karaoke for approximately 7 months and it was good but the service has gotten worse and when my girlfriend and I have complained nothing gets done about it. We were there last week and we feel like we were rushed out for a reservation that never showed up. My girlfriend is in a wheelchair so it takes some time to get her into her chair to move from the table and she cant sit on the stools because she has no balance and so it is not safe for her. We love going to karaoke but we also feel like unless we order booze (we have dinner there Mondays and Wednesdays) we don't get any service unless its after 9 when the first server leaves. There have been multiple times when we would sit there for half hour or longer before anyone comes to take a drink order and we have been told multiple times that she wants us to pay so she can go to the "adult" section. The servers that come on after 9 have been great and friendly and we love the atmosphere and Karaoke there but with how we and others have been treated by the server that is there before 9pm, we are hesitant to continue coming. O’Flannigan’s: Where Shirts Are Sacred and Sweat is Suspicious.

Great pub. Loud hard rock, cold drinks, and solid staff who keep the night rolling smoothly. I even swapped shirts with a groom-to-be on his “farewell to single cuddles” tour—because that’s what brotherhood looks like on the dance floor.

His shirt was a sauna in fabric form, so I took it off and let my skin breathe to the rhythm. For a good 30 minutes, all was well—until one security guy (not the team, just one guy) came over and started touching me. Not tapping, not gesturing—touching. I asked him, “Why the hands?” He replied, “You don’t have a shirt.” I replied, “Well, you do. Maybe use your words instead of your fingers.”

I left with my groove intact but won’t be back. Nothing against the staff or the other security—they seemed chill. But next time I want to be touched for being shirtless, I’d prefer a candlelit setting and consent.
