West Coast Seafood & Raw Bar Kelowna — Restaurant in Kelowna

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at West Coast Seafood & Raw Bar Kelowna! from the start to finish of our dining experience, the whole team made it fantastic. Our server Terry was a huge part in making the evening enjoyable. He was kind, easy to talk with, and full of knowledge, as well as recommendations when it came to the menu. Terry was also kind enough to let us know of all the specials and deals the restaurant was offering that day. We happened upon happy hour which was a nice bonus to the visit.

I sadly did not snap a photo, but started our evening with a dozen oysters, both from the west coast and PEI. They were paired with a tequila mignonette which was absolutely stunning in taste. Both types of oyster were fresh, and a lovely way to start us off. We paired the oysters with a nice bottle of wine from a vineyard Local to Kelowna.

My main dish was the Blue Cheese Steak Salad, with my steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. The blue cheese paired so well with the steak, and was complimented nicely by the maple balsamic dressing. All the main salad ingredients were very fresh as well which was perfect for a hot summers day. My partners main dish was the Ale Battered Fish (Cod), and said it was the best he’s ever had.. he eats a lot of fish and chips so I believe him.

I’m sad I didn’t have room for dessert, because I know it would have been amazing. Big thank you again to our server Terry for being attentive, and making sure we always had everything we needed during our visit. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone...

This past weekend was my first time ever in Kelowna. I was looking for places that offered buck-a-shuck service and came across this. I called when I woke up in the morning to make reservations and was told from 3-6. I went to the beach and gave a call at 2 to ask for my res to be moved to 5 as we were enjoying the beach. I was told reservations can be made at 5 but I can walk in. I got there at 5 and was told we couldn’t be seating as they were full. Of course after my day of communication with staff I was reluctant to leave. After a good few minutes of going back and forth and discovering my name was crossed off with white out at the 3:00 time slot someone seated us. We were told we had to leave by 6:30 as they had a reservation. It took them 15 minutes just to offer us a glass of water and we had to request someone come and take our order (Awful). I placed my order for oysters to find out they don’t do buck-a-shuck. Got the oysters and also to my surprise I learned there were such things as milky oysters (I do not recommend), Hated those so they took them back (thankfully)the food we ordered was fabulous! Truffle fries, Brussels sports and the surf and turf were so full of flavour. The food definitely deserves a 5 star the staff and their service was a 3. I would give this place one more try next time I’m in Kelowna just to see if the staff is more attentive to individuals evidently not...

Can only give 2 stars, probably only 1 star if it wasn't for one of the other families servers (see below). Had large party of 3 families(15 people), all seated together. Service was poor and slow. Our family ordered first but our food came out last, almost 1.5 hour after we ordered and it was not that busy. The other families food arrived within 30 minutes. We had a separate server for our family where she never attended to us after our order. The other 2 families had one server that came by often asking how everything was and fortunately she refilled our waters while waiting. Our server did finally ask how the food was when it came out, but I love how she was gazing at something outside, and not us when waiting for a response. Even when the bill came, it was the other server who completed our transaction, noting that "our" family wasn't her table. To top it off, our server automatically put a 15% service charge. One family the server left the tip to the discretion as she recognized our group waited so long as 6/14 people got food so late. The quality of food for a seafood place is average. We ordered oysters and I was surprised they even plated a few that were questionable.
