Booked on Canada Day. Was told we had the best seat in the house for fireworks.
Service from our waitress was fantastic, she did everything in her power to mitigate what was to come of our evening & isn't to be faulted for any of what I describe below. Hats off to her, & she deserves better from her employer.
Management set their staff up to take the brunt of their communication failure, there was no notification that private patrons would have to share their intimate night with a film crew and cast.
Then finding out at the time of my reservation, left me no opportunity to pivot my plans to not have a raucous group of reality TV show cast infringing on my wife & Is night.
A film crew and bouncers set up shop right in front of our table. A table of 12+ from Jersey Shore members and film crew were there the entire time.
After coming back to our table from trying to vy for a view of the fireworks. The film crew had taken up some our chairs at our table that had food and drink on it. Which is obviously inappropriate and staff should have intervened on our behalf for, not leaving for patrons to do.
Our drinks took so long to get due to understaffing the demands of the TV show, I brought back a serving tray with our drinks left on it at the bar because I could see the waitress struggling to keep up.
The publicity of Jersey Shore & it's cast was clearly weighted higher of a priority to satisfy, & not having empty seats from patrons cancelling reservations knowing ahead of time then actual patrons satisfaction.
Management clearly didn't mind putting their staff in the line of fire of disgruntled guests & were left to manage those relationships alone while being understaffed for this national holiday and TV show event.
I would have just appreciated to have known the situation I was walking into so I could have the most informed choice for what I wanted for my wife's evening observing the fireworks in a...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding anniversary at Perch Sky Lounge, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set the tone for a wonderful evening.
The dishes were as creative as they were delicious. We savored the Duck Bacon Caesar Salad, a perfectly balanced starter with a rich, smoky twist. The Butternut Squash Ravioli with Mushroom Sauce was a tasty standout main, with an earthy, flavorful sauce. The beautiful Watermelon Caprese Bites offered a refreshing burst of sweetness and creaminess, and the Bruschetta was fresh, vibrant, and flavorful.
Perch made our celebration extra special by surprising us with two glasses of sparkling wine—an incredibly kind gesture that elevated our evening. We also enjoyed their signature cocktails, the Orange Dream and Pink Lighthouse, both delicious and beautifully presented. Each drink was expertly crafted, with unique flavors. Gorgeous concoctions that perfectly complemented the evening. The Orange Dream definitely tasted just like an Orange Creamsicle!
The team at Perch deserves a special mention. Our server, Joe, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about ensuring we had the best experience possible. Their thoughtfulness made our celebration feel even more personal, special, and heartfelt.
Perch Sky Lounge is a gem, whether you're out for a casual dinner or marking a special occasion. The combination of stunning views, exceptional food, and warm hospitality makes it a place we’ll gladly return to—and recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.
Thank you, Perch, for making our anniversary...
Read moreHad a reservation booked for 4 people, the last time I went here. Multiple servers walked by, looked at our table multiple times, and we were pretty much ignored by everyone. It was definitely not busy at all, it's a 5pm reservation. I understand if it was 6 or 7pm. Little over 30 minutes later, I had to flag someone down, just to even have water on our table. Been to this place twice. First time was underwhelming too, but I thought I'd give them another shot. I like the idea of coming to this cafe because they have the best view in Kelowna. The ambiance is one of the best, downtown. But for what you're paying for food and drinks, I'd definitely say this place is just "meh". Food's good but nothing out of the ordinary. But for "sharing", the price is a little "up there" and the portion is very very tiny. Definitely don't come here if you're starving and just dying to stuff your mouth with food and want to have food coma after. Their food is pretty designed to be eaten in a very slow manner, otherwise you'll have an empty plate in under 5 minutes. Their food is tasty, a bit unique, a bit trendy but I think I'd rather go somewhere else next time. If you've never been here before, it's definitely worth checking out. This place is ideal for catching up with your buddies, and even for a business meeting. Maybe even for a first date I...
