āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Outstanding Experience at The Innovation Centre (October 23) Our recent Ambassadors of Compassion Canada Vision Gathering at The Innovation Centre in Kelowna was absolutely outstanding from start to finish! A heartfelt thank-you goes to Rylee, our event coordinator and main contact at the Centre. From the very beginning, she was informative, kind, professional, and incredibly supportive. Her communication and guidance made the planning process so smooth and enjoyable. When we arrived on-site, Rylee ensured that everything and everyone were cared forāfrom our guests and presenters to our generous food donors. She managed every detail with grace, ensuring our technology and vision partners HCOS/FLEX Academy/Kelos Open Learning and Okanagan Central School district principal were given support and, setup. The smallest touches were handled perfectly so that everyone had a great experience. On the day of the event, Rylee truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly, and supported our needs completely . The Innovation Centre itself is a remarkable venueāmodern, inspiring, and perfectly designed for collaboration and connection. We loved seeing our event graphics displayed so beautifully in the atrium projected on the staircaseāit created such a warm and professional welcome! The audio-visual setup was flawless, and the seating layout, complete with lap tables, allowed everyone to comfortably enjoy their food while engaging fully in the program. We are so grateful for the generosity and vision of the Innovation Centre team in providing such an exceptional community space. Itās clear that this venue was built with innovation, connection, and excellence at its heart. Special thanks as well to our amazing food/refreshment partnersāBlenz Coffee (right in the building!) for their hospitality, Hillcrest Farms for the delicious catering and attention to detail, and Sandhill wines. This was our first Ambassadors of Compassion Canada Business Gathering event in Kelowna, and thanks to Rylee and the Innovation Centre team, it was an incredible success. We canāt wait to host future gatherings in this beautiful space. Five stars all the way ā highly recommended!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was having lunch recently on the public rooftop of the Innovation Centre and witnessed a disturbing interaction between the security guard and a group of young school children that were also sitting having lunch. It looked like the kids had just arrived, and the security guard came up to kick them all out.
I personally thought it was nice to see the rooftop space being enjoyed, and the kids looked spread out across the whole area so they weren't being disruptive. Other adults were also sitting at the tables having lunch as well and nobody seemed bothered (other than the security guard). It felt like the Innovation Centre may have been kicking them off because they wanted to charge them to sit and have their lunch there, but their website says "bring your lunch and enjoy the sunshine", and it's not like they were holding a private wedding or event for profit. That sits wrong with me.
The employee was publicly disrespectful in front of young children and I saw this even directed towards the children. I thought was inappropriate and, as a woman, he made me feel uncomfortable. I will hesitate before visiting the rooftop or spending money at any business in this facility in the future, based on the inappropriateness of what I witnessed in this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently hosted a Government of Canada event at the Innovation Centre during the last week of October, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The space itself is modern, welcoming, and perfectly suited for professional gatherings, but what truly made the difference was the incredible support we received from their team. A special shout-out to Rylee, (Events & Engagement Advisor), who went above and beyond every step of the way. From the early planning stages to the day of the event and even after, Rylee was nothing short of fantastic; organized, responsive, and genuinely accommodating. Every detail was covered, and whenever we had a question or needed an adjustment, Rylee handled it with ease and professionalism. It felt like having a partner rather than just a "venue contact". The level of care and attention made the entire process stress-free, which is rare when coordinating government events. Honestly, if youāre looking for a venue that combines a great atmosphere with exceptional service, the Innovation Centre should be at the top of your list. We couldnāt have asked for a...
