My siblings and I decided to meet in a cozy cafe to catch up after months of not being able to see our parents due to health issues. The barista (blonde with fake lashes) made sure to ruin this meaningful time for us. My son along with his cousins were spending time together next to our table - this barrister yells over the counter and asks the children to hang out by our table. Sure, this was a âsafetyâ concern. We pulled the kids to our table. Next, my 10 year old niece sat on lawn chairs next to our table. Same barista scream at my niece to not sit on the chair as she may break it. How does a 11 year old 41 lbs child break lawn chair that supports weight of full grown adults? To be clear, no signs were posted asking people not to sit on the lawn chairs while indoors.
Absolutely disgusted by this behaviour. Blenz should invest in training employees who do not have children of their own on how to approach families with children as young as 1 year. Yelling across the coffee shop in front of everyone is definitely not the right way to speak to anyone especially if kids are involved.
Never returning here. Save yourself the rest and have coffee someplace if you have a family and want to be treated...
Read moreI never like writing reviews like this however today I had enough. I came in looking to order a yummy drink hoping it would be a quick in and out, however it was the opposite. I waited for a couple minutes in line which is understandable for a busy day, however today (and other days as well) the same lady was holding up the line by chatting with a customer. It's one thing to talk about coffee and items she might be looking to sell, but it is completely different if she is talking about completely unrelated things in the world. If there are no customers waiting and the customer themselves are fine with talking, then there is no problem, however the issue comes in when I or other customers are waiting 5 minutes to simply place an order while she goes on and on about some random subject. She looks to be a bit older and maybe she's new however it is not an excuse to chat nonstop while other people...
Read moreI love going to Blendz. It's so close to home. I bring my son and my sister here. Normally we go 2-3 x a week. Sometimes less. It's a lovely atmosphere. Tonight after a long day at work, I was really looking forward to going. My sister and I left immediately. We were told that the bathrooms are closed from now on from 6 till close. Why? We asked if something was wrong with the bathroom. The barrista is like nope. They're just closed from 6 to close. They have been for November and December. My sister and I went to Blendz several times during November and December after 6pm and not once were the bathrooms closed. What kind of policy is this? What am I supposed to do if I need the bathroom? Run around to one of the other stores and hope that they'll let me use their bathroom without purchasing something first. I won't be going back. It's too bad. I really...
