Quesada Burritos & Tacos — Restaurant in Maple Ridge

My family tried this restaurant for the first time today. The young man serving us was extremely polite and courteous.

We ordered a chicken burrito for the wife which was tasty. We also ordered beef burritos for myself and my daughter which were absolutely inedible. She would not touch hers after a first taste. Neither would I. The level of salt in these dishes seemed like it had to be a mistake. I brought this to the attention of the young man who served us. He assured me the beef was not supposed to be that salty and informed me he would make us another with a different topping. This is when another employee stepped in and told me to wait. They disappeared to the back room and later returned to informed me that I would not be getting our meals corrected and that I could receive a 30% discount on another burrito if I so desired. This seemed odd to us. We decided to leave and go feed our daughter elsewhere. Again, the employee who helped us was great and unfortunately had better customer service instincts than management. We will be looking for a different local Mexican spot in the future, maple ridge...

I feel really weird about giving this review... I usually like to promote businesses and not give them a hard time. In this case though they can do better and usually have in the past. There were a few girls working behind the counter. Mostly speaking in Punjabi which is fine. What makes it extremely difficult is when they don't actually talk to you about your order and just yell back and forth to each other. Then instead of asking about what you want for your food they just rudely point at trays. Like I'm sorry what? She just gestures to the trays and looks away again to continue her conversation with her co workers. I wait for her to look back at me and say what I wanted on my tacos. She didn't even add the pickled onions 😫. Then I ordered my children's meals. I tell the other girl my kids are fine with the cookie and she says it's the same price for the churro. I agree and watch her punch in the additional charge for a churro. 🫤 It's not a huge cost but that's super rude. The whole experience was really awkward. Anyways, food is still ok if they actually pay attention to give it to you the way...

We ordered using Door Dash App & picked up ourselves. On arrival no employee was out front and food was not ready when app said it would be, no other customers were there, so I waited for the man to prep it (not a problem-didn’t take long). The restaurant was an absolute mess- garbages were overflowing in customer area, kitchen prep area had trash overflowing onto floor and food everywhere like someone had a food fight—I really should have asked to cancel my order based on the clear lack of cleanliness but don’t think I can do that on DoorDash if I was walking in, I would have just walked out. I thought maybe they just had a massive busy time possibly - benefit of the doubt right. The man making our burritos was very kind & helpful but there was a woman employee who seemed very angry. I wished them a good night when leaving. The male employee did a great job making our Burritos, they tasted great. The owner needs to take this business seriously and hire more personnel to keep up on cleanliness & customer care because they have a great location...
