I liked the sweets in another event, that's why I seek out the location and while in neighborhood decided to try the place, but finding the place if you haven't checked the street view on Google Map or find Outside picture of picture (trying not to make that mistake again!!) can be challenging. I was imagining another regular Persian Sweet Shop, with easy normal access from Plaza. Maybe it was my "Wayz" issue direction me there! Anyway, after going in and out of Building at the back, I finally saw the extra signs and found it! When I said a hint about a bit hard to find the place the comment from the lady was that is not true!! I understand that unfortunately there are still Persians' Business Owners out there that might not believe customer is right, the least "ALWATS", but this is Canada. Anyway, I was not offended as an immigrant coming from that culture. We liked the sweets in general. The "Dry" variety of items as we call it in Persian (not the ones with Creams like Ăclair), which I shopped for, were a tiny bit sweeter that our usual taste. At the end, the price was surprisingly very good! Although, please keep in mind that this is NOT a great idea for our family and friends with disabilities and/ or hardship to climb the stairs to try this place in person. So to sum up, I recommend the place, especially if you live or are in the neighborhood, but you may find other Persian Sweet Shops suit your...
Read moreWarning: Unethical Behavior and Health Concerns at This Bakery
The middle-aged female cashier at this bakery has repeatedly shown rude and disrespectful behavior towards customers She often enters a higher amount on the card machine ; for example charging $22 for a $21.10 bill , and then aggressively asks for cash She doesnât speak English and tells customers in Farsi that since they donât pay tax they should pay in cash This is completely misleading She seems unaware that boxed sweets are tax-exempt in Canada and has no right to guilt or pressure customers
Many times she intentionally enters the wrong price per kilogram to overcharge If the customer notices, she quickly says oh sorry it was a mistake If not, she takes advantage This is not just unprofessional itâs an insult to the customerâs intelligence
There are also serious concerns about product quality They use artificial coloring heavily especially green dye in most items Crushed peanuts are dyed green and used in so-called pistachio sweets Their pistachio cake contains an unnatural amount of bright green coloring that looks and tastes chemical
Worse some cakes have visible black mold spots This suggests they freeze moist cakes to extend shelf life Itâs not only unhygienic but potentially harmful
Prices may be lower but the hidden costs are too high in trust, transparency,...
Read moreI ordered a cake in advance for a special occasion, clearly specifying my requirements and any allergies, only to receive a completely different cake upon pickup. Shockingly, the cake contained ingredients I'm allergic to, including pineapple, which could have led to a severe health issue had I consumed it.
What was more disheartening was the response from the owner when we called to address the mix-up. Instead of showing any concern or willingness to rectify the mistake, the owner responded with shocking disrespect, asking, "What do you want me to do now?" and even hanging up on us when we requested the cake we had ordered.
This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer safety is inexcusable. It reflects poorly on the establishment and raises serious doubts about the professionalism of the entire team. A business that fails to take responsibility for its mistakes and treats customers disrespectfully does not deserve your patronage.
I strongly advise against trusting this establishment with your orders. There are many other bakeries that value their customers' needs and take pride in their service. Save your money and energy by avoiding...
