I Heart Boba — Restaurant in Milton

Milton, a quaint little town in Ontario, where big bubble tea chains have not made their way over yet. In smaller cities like this, local bubble tea stores reign supreme. Sure, there was a Gong Cha right across the street, but since I don't visit Milton often, I decided to give the local sensation a shot.

The prices on the menu were absolutely ridiculous. Just $4.95 for a large "cream" (milk) bubble tea with tapioca. I couldn't believe my luck. However, as they say, sometimes things that seem too good to be true usually are.

To be honest, my excitement waned once I took my first sip. The milk tasted peculiar, almost like a not-so-great almond milk. It left a bad taste in my mouth, quite literally. I could only manage a few sips before reluctantly tossing it out.

It seems as though, their fruit smoothie bubble teas are a lot more popular.

All in all, based on that one drink alone, I'd give this spot a 2.5/5 rating. Perhaps the other options are worth exploring, but for now, my bubble tea hunt...

Gave this place 3 chances. Each time became more disappointing than the last. First drink - didn't come with a straw, only notice this until I got home. Had to make extra 15min drive back. Staff was not happy I cut in line. But I'm not waiting for another 30min because of a huge line up. Straws is such a standard practise with bbt??? Why was it such a surprise I wasn't happy when I didn't get a straw when I ordered a drink with tapioca? Second drink - Asked for matcha milk tea ... got some orange drink instead?? I had to explain multiple times it was not the drink I wanted since attendant didn't seem to believe me initially. (And no, I did not keep that orange drink) Third drink - Asked for thai milk tea (without sugar), got something incredibly sweet instead. Ended up dumping out half the cup to dilute with milk. Not fun. I gave up with the place and now go to the other bbt store in Milton....

Truly, excellent customer service at this family run establishment. From the moment you come in your greeted warmly, they have a excellent variety of beverages for you to try. Their price is exceptionally reasonable and their qualities is very high. We ordered four bubble teas, they’re prepared quickly and we’re extremely delicious. I did order One of the new egg waffles, the staff did notify me that the first one did not turn out as expected, and that they were preparing me a second one to replace the first. They gave my kids the first one free of charge, however, when the second one did not turn out to their expectations, they profusely apologized, offered me my money back, and we were very apologetic. This level of customer service is rarely ever seen today along with this level of accountability. You guys are doing an amazing job. Keep it up. My new favorite bubble tea...
