Having booked mark this for a long time, me along with 6 other family members headed to this on a Saturday afternoon. The location is in an industrial area and parking spots are not maintained properly as it is frequented by trucks and larger vehicles. The inside is clean and seems a bit small. After we were seated the restaurant filled up quickly and there was some people waiting.

A stainless steel thaali (plate) with 6 watis (bowls) were waiting to be filled. Upon asking what has dairy products the owner came out explaining all but two items being g served today were Vegan. What a pleasant surprise. The Yoghurt Kadhi (curry) and a sweet made from cream of wheat had dairy. The Chappatis come out without anything and you can top them with ghee. But first came the appetizers two types of pakoras and while dhoklas (steamed savoury cakes). They are served with 2 chutneys and one carrot pickle. All were perfect. The dhoklas are just amazing. Soft with the perfect amount of seasonings.

Then came the curries. Potato (ok), whole Moong (delicious), lentil daal and yogurt curry (daal was amazing, I probably drank 1/2 a litre of it. Okra (very good, but on the greasy side - hard to make with less oil). Sweet Boondi (ok). And then the Chappatis and deep fried pooris (whole wheat bread). And yes Oondhiyu/Undhiyu very well made with minimal oil just the right amount of spice that even the most people with spice intolerance can enjoy. At the same time full of flavour. And don’t forget the rice. You can all down with a salty lassi or chass as it called (watered buttermilk).

If you love Gujarati food and want to taste how all AYCE (weekends only) thaalis are served in Mumbai and Gujarat, this is the place. There are many servers all very good and perfectly serving most of the time. Some food we had to wait a bit longer as we had the curries, but no Chappatis and we finally had enough Chappatis not enough curries. It’s the only thing they can improve.

Reasonably...

We have ordered food yesterday to celebrate Diwali. Sorry to say but we are disappointed with the quality and value for money. The have charged $18 per plate but it was not worth for that price. The quantity was not even enough for 1 person by paying $18 per plate. The taste of the food was below average. It was understood that by staying in Brampton / Mississauga, we all are little bit more demanding in taste expectation. Punjabi restaurants are serving in $8 with double quantity and superb taste. The food from "Avsar" can not stand in front of it. We as Gujrati want to promote our food but we are really so far behind with other options available in market. Next time, We would not waste our money and ruin our occasion by ordering this kind of food. I wish I can give negative rating as the food has upset our family's stomach.

I would like recommend the owner to focus on quality of food and quantity as well. People will pay $18 if the quality is outstanding but not for below average quality.

I have seen your response to all who bought food yesterday. Everybody gave same review does not mean we know each other. I am not that young / collegian but I am in mid 40s. I can see your argument by saying that people are asking for discount... come on. grow up.

Again, I would suggest to focus on quality rather answering everybody as same response instantly. As business owner you should take the review seriously to improve your service otherwise it will become...

Not a customer friendly service. We came of 7 people and only 3 of them ordered as dining. But we sat there till order got prepared. For simple sitting idle they charged extra gratuity for all. They didn't informed earlier as how many can occupy table and how many u need takeout. As we asked the same and received an answer like, if we order food as take out and we don't have right to sit untill your order prepared. They won't allow us to sit if we order it as take out. And they are not providing any waiting space or chair's for customers. We had a horrible discussion with co-owner and he was simply ignoring customer service and telling how they are running their services. Initially i read someone review and aske to provide seperate bill for individual and for that also they refused initially and later divided the bill which was included gratuity. My paid bill here with attached as references. I am completely dissatisfied with co-owner replies and services. You should inform early to customer about gratuity and then take order. Also try to provide best customer service while talking and it doesn't mean to providing lassi coupons while returning. I hope you will consider my review and provide good service further. I am happy to come again as it's my indian food but it's depends on your service. Expecting a good...

We all can agree with the fact that we carry a piece of our birthplace everywhere we go 🙌 After coming to Canada, I always craved authentic Indian cuisine with the correct spice. Even though I found many restaurants selling Indian food, but they lacked the sterling spice level. I continued my search for that flavour that would satisfy my taste buds. And here I am today with my answer 🥰 Welcome to the world of AVSAR, where the Mumbai and Gujarati street food fusions together and serves you the best of both worlds. Trust me, this place will bring back all your street food fonding memories. So what all did I explore? 🍔 Pav Bhaji 🥘 Misal Pav 🍘 Samosa Chaat Must-try their new delicacies: 🍹Mirchi Guava 🥪 Dabeli Deluxe Grill Sandwich 🍔 Churra Vada Pav 🍟 Super Loaded Makhni Fries 🍱 Undhiyu Gujarati Thali Tap to see all the goodness of Indian street food under one roof. If you love Indian street food and want to relish the taste on these rainy days, you'll surely not miss this golden AVSAR! P.S: Their patios are now open and placed under a huge tent with lively Indian music and beautiful decor.
