This was our first time back to KK since the pandemic, as we are not in that end of the city very often. Pre-pandemic we have had AYCE dinner several times without issue. Last night was completely different. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and a few tables came in while we were eating. Our waiter picked up our order sheet promptly and the dishes started to come out, this is where it went completely wrong. The salad and miso soup were no issue. Then they brought out the tempura which the counts were wrong, then when the waiter went to place the dipping sauce on the table he hit the edge of his tray with the bowl. This splashed all over the table and on my wife's side. Fortunately it was not hot but the waiter just stood there for a second not knowing what to do. He finally picked up the bowl and left. He came back with THREE napkins, quietly apologized and left again. He left us to clean up the mess and after bringing 2 dishes to other tables, he returned with another bowl of sauce for us. The Sashimi order came out wrong and when I mentioned it to him, he replied "oh" and left. It took three tries of writing what we wanted for the Sushi and Sashimi to get what we wanted. The men's washroom was not the cleanest and no paper towels in the dispenser, so no way to dry your hands after washing. I mentioned it to a server and he said he would let someone know. After dinner when I went to wash my hands, nothing had been done. They brought out the bill at full amount. When I asked the server about this as my wife now has dipping sauce all over her clothes and the difficulty with ordering, he just replied 'he didn't know' and made no offer to discount at least a portion for the troubles. The restaurant made no effort to make this right. Hopefully this stuff did not permanently stain...
Read moreOk... So I was so excited to try this place as I got to know they serve halal meats. And decided to go today for AYCE. I ordered appetizers first, they were okay. I didn't like any of their kabobs. They were so dry and hard. Chicken nuggets were frozen, was done by first bite. Shrimp tempura and Calamari was okay. Then, ordered Maki rolls sushi.. oh my all of their rolls has avocado on it! I think 8/10 items had avocado! So guess what? Doesn't matter it's shrimp or tuna or salmon; was giving quite similar taste for all sushi. And the main thing, sushi weren't tasty at all. Anyway I was so disappointed and as I went for AYCE; I had to order! Ordered Green Curry, had no salt. Told the server about it and she just took away without saying anything like it's a compliment. Then Tom yum soup was literally like full of raw spices and taste was I dnnw what was that! I returned that too. The worst part is, at the very last, I ordered sushi comes 1pc each. And found dirty tissue on the rice. It was underneath the shrimp! I dnnw why I wanted to try the shrimp only as I was loosing appetite to have rice anymore and saw the tissue!! Right away I called the server and showed the tissue, told her that I feel like vomiting and to cancel the rest of orders. You know what she told me? She told me it's my tissue!! They don't use tissue. I was like seriously?? Why would I call you to show that if I put tissue here?? Does it even make sense? Without saying sorry, she just blamed me! I was about to call the manager, but my fiance was super upset and disappointed. He told me not to bother and leave. The worst place ever! Worst customer service and worst food quality! Will never...
Read moreVery bizarre all you can eat sushi experience. Google and sign says they close at 10pm. We got there before 9pm and asked the front server if we can stay for all you can eat. He said last order is 9:20 and told us we can stay as they close at 10pm. Since we got there, the server acted unwelcoming and when we finished our order on the paper, she made us go over it with her and forced us to remove items even though it is an all you can eat restaurant. We were well aware what we were ordering but were pressured to change it. The server kept coming back and being judgemental and rude while asking us if we can eat it, even though she didn’t give us time to do so and kept coming every five minutes creating an unwelcoming atmosphere like she didn’t want us there. At 9:20 she told us that it’s the last order. When we told her we want dessert, she said “are you sure?” And even made us reduce that. It was just such a weird experience. At 9:40pm, the other lady came with two boxes and basically told us to leave and said we can pay $10 extra for take the sushi home. Not once while we were there did they let us eat in peace, and were being rude the whole time and forced boxes on us at the end to leave. Not once did anyone mention that they do not close at 10pm so why was it advertised like that. A restaurant is supposed to be a welcoming place. If you don’t want to serve customers, don’t let them sit and don’t be open. One guy stayed back to wait for us to wrap up but all other servers were extremely rude and just kicked us out. We paid full price $40 each, plus $10 extra, plus tip even with the unpleasant atmosphere...
