Todays review based on Uber order:
The Manager Drishti was a nightmare to deal with! Plus my special instructions of adding proper & good amount of sauce wasn’t taken care of AT ALL !! Arguments over arguments & excuses over excused instead of accepting the mistake! No professionalism in taking !
1stly the restaurant cancelled my order as shown on Uber, after calling her she tells me she will call back to see if choice can personally deliver! Never called back! I called twice & after 20-25 mind she tells me to re-order! Ridiculous! After waiting 2 hrs for my order, my favorite pizza was served ridiculous! On informing her this, Drishti tells me it wad NoT a dine in order 😂! She must be joking right?
Choice!!!! You really need good people at desk to take care of your customers orders! Please teach her how to reply to a customer!
Attaching the ridiculous pizza photos with NO SAUCE even after telling her THRICE to put good amount of sauce on my pizza! I think she didn’t even care to give my instructions to chef!
Heavily DISAPPOINTED !!!!!
Oh & the 2nd pizzas packing destroyed my pizza too!
I am waiting for the owner to call me back as I have left my number
Mixed feelings for choice every time i have visited! I am an Amdaavadi & have AlWAYS gone to Choice since my childhood & still do when i visit India!
Here are the ratings for each item individually-
Bhakri pizza- 5/5 - just like Amdavaad 👏
Bhel - 0/5 - never liked it, the chutneys aren’t that great & they never have accepted or improvised on it, much much better options in GTA like Milan !
Haryaali Naan- 5/5- fresh crisp 👌
Veg Kadhai- mentioned on menu as spicy BROWN gravy, comes into creamy yellow gravy. They must have got 1 common gravy which they must be using for multiple veg! Brown gravy has ideally got onions cooked & browned up with wonderful spices, but nothing close to it in flavours or appearance! Our server tried to remake it, but gave me with adding red chilli powder in the same yellow gravy🙇🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️. Utterly disappointed. Had my naan with paneer butter masala’s gravy
Paneer butter masala- garlicy and much upto mark in terms of red gravy- 4/5
Vada Pav- not authentic- 2.5/5 Just making it spicy doesn’t make Vada a Vada pav! The Vada needs to have flavours & the chutney needs to be peanut garlic chutney. Even if you try to compare to Amdavaad’s version of vada pav, it’s not close at all
All in all, okayish experience everytime Bhaji isn’t also as close to as the Authentic Amdavaad’s one! Lots of improvements needed I never see the owner hanging around to see how well is the food being served
Service- Devarsh has always been nice serving us! We love how he can take care
Good luck to the owner for improvements! Seeing Choice empty on a Saturday evening did show where their market stands in GTA! You do need to buckle up to keep up your business :)
Dear owner/ to the person who replied,
Thank you for the wonderful reply😊 I appreciate your honesty very much Indeed, it’s a VAST menu for 2 chefs in the kitchen to take care of! Saying that, GTA is VERY competitive with Punjabi food culture & it only & only asks for the best :) I do understand you realise this :)
Regarding the sabji, it was not customised as such, I had just asked if a lil more gravy is possible, & to make that lots of cream got added which isn’t right for brown gravy🥲, I guess only a chef would understand my Point of view! Regarding the bill, we were initially confirmed it would be taken out as i couldn’t even have 1 bite from the sabji, sorry to be saying this it was not tasteworthy (veggies were nice though) ! The sabji did get add to our bill at the end despite the promise! Our service was called 2nd time however, he just gave 20% discount! I had to embarrassingly call him out 3rd time, as i couldn’t have even a bite and he knew it, Eventually he cancelled it off from the bill
If the billing wasnt charged at the very 1st, I would have just ignored writing about it!🙃
Saying all this, ofcourse I would come again & again for MY Very 1st Love...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The food was generally quite good – we ordered a variety of dishes including Vadapav, Bhakri Pizza, Chole Bhature, Naan, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Khoya Kaju. The taste of the food was fantastic, and the flavors were well-balanced. However, there were a few areas that could be improved.
The Bhakri Pizza was served cold, and the toppings were minimal. The sauce, veggies, and cheese were sparse, and it wasn’t cut 5 it had very random pieces. The presentation could have been better. The Chole Bhature, while decent, lacked the required spice and salt. It was also quite oily, and the Bhature too .Additionally, they didn’t serve the traditional fried mirchi with the Chole, which would’ve added a nice touch to the dish.
On the positive side, the Vadapav was amazing, and the Paneer Tikka Masala was equally impressive – both dishes were packed with flavor.
One of the biggest downsides to our experience was the service. We placed a takeout order and were waiting for it to be delivered to us . A staff member who appeared to be part of the management came up to us in a very rude manner. He indirectly pressured us to clear the table, pay the bill, and leave, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and we were still waiting for our order. This kind of behavior was very unprofessional, and it really put a damper on the overall experience. Fortunately, the rest of the server staff were polite and attentive, which helped balance things out. While I wouldn’t consider dining in here again, the food flavors were great, and I’d definitely consider ordering takeaway in the future. There’s potential here, but some areas of improvement,...
Read moreWe recently ordered Pav Bhaji and Paninis from Choice Indian Restaurant for an office party, and I cannot express how thrilled we were with the experience! From the moment we placed our order, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our specific requests were met.
The Pav Bhaji was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, it was a hit among our team! The buttery pav paired beautifully with the vibrant bhaji, which was loaded with fresh vegetables and topped with a squeeze of lemon. Every bite transported us straight to the bustling streets of Mumbai.
The Paninis were equally impressive. Each one was toasted to perfection, with a crisp exterior that gave way to a deliciously gooey filling. The combination of flavors was delightful, and they were generously portioned, making them a satisfying option for everyone.
Adding to our enjoyment was the fact that they delivered for free! This thoughtful touch made our planning so much easier and allowed us to focus on enjoying the event rather than worrying about logistics.
Overall, Choice Indian Restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking to spice up your office gatherings or any special occasion, I highly recommend their delectable offerings. We can’t wait to...
