Strike 2... 2 days and 2 locations of Chatime that just couldnt do a simple good bubble tea. I feel their quality has been slipping a lot lately and this drink was definitely sub-par. Unlike the early reviews of Chatime, I didnt see any line up at all. With maybe only one family before me, this spot was empty unlike the other really popular spot (Real Fruit).
Chatime was one of the original first imports of the really good Asian bubble tea spots. They've opened a lot across the GTA in the past few years and hitting up most of the malls. I feel this location really does a disservice. Sure it's not the terribly fake powdery stuff of eons ago but this was just a really bad drink. This is a purely take out counter with not many seated areas nearby. There was only 4 small tables in the shared hallway for the Timmy's, Tsujiri and Chatime. It does have a few snacks as well but bubble tea is their main focus. Well, used to be.
Service here is polite and quick... almost too quick. My drink was made within a minute and though there was no wait... I feel with no pressure to send out drinks, this should have been made a lot better.
Brown Sugar Roasted Black Tea - With less ice and half sugar, I figured the roasted black tea would have been a nice rich flavour and the milkiness be creamy. What I got instead was a super watery milky lack lustre tea... actually, I couldnt taste tea. That was a complete shock. Though it wasn't sweet, it was also super watery. It was missing the milkiness that I used to find in the Chatime drinks. Another sad thing about this drink was the bubbles. The previous day I didn't get a lot of bubbles and they werent done well compared to other brands. Today, they were definitely over cooked... they were mushy. This is no where as good as it used to be. 2/5
There are 3 spots for bubble tea in the mall and this one has dropped to the bottom. I'll try the other one but I really doubt any could surpass the Real Fruit. They do have a line up but there's a good...

On Sunday, October 13th, I arrived at 3:00 PM, eager to try the newly advertised dragon fruit matcha. Unfortunately, what followed was a series of frustrations that left me feeling utterly degraded.
When I ordered my drink with extra ice, I was met with a drink that nearly white liquid lacking both the dragon fruit cold foam and any ice. When I politely asked the baristas to remake my drink, I was met with shocking hostility. Instead of understanding, they responded with eye rolls and dismissive remarks, implying that I was the problem. They said âwe canât help you if your unhappyâ and when they remade it âif it taste bad this is what you asked forâ
I was taken aback by their blatant rudeness. It felt as though these employees had taken a personal dislike to me, and their attitude only intensified as they continued to express disdain. After enduring nearly 40 minutes of this unacceptable treatment, I received a drink that looked even worse than the first. At that point, I realized that paying $8 for such a disappointing experience wasnât worth it, so I requested a refund in which they were hesitant to give and fought me about. I implore potential customers: donât waste your time or money at Chatime. Support businesses that genuinely care for their customers.    Read moreThe customer service here is the worst iâve seen by far! The manager especially has a very rude tone to what they say towards their customers. Took 40+ minutes to resolve an issue due to a problem with their kiosk. Charged my card twice! The staff here is very unhelpful and unprofessional. Wonât be returning to this location. They werenât even able to offer customer gratuity or any empathy towards my situation where my card was charged twice. The staff even lied saying my refund would return by the end of the day, still nothing. They say it is a problem with my bank but when contacting my bank they said it is the storeâs issue. Staff isnât knowledgeable. Especially the male staff worker named Kevin who called security on my daughter when she was just trying to solve the dispute in a calm, professional manner. She was neither harassing them or harming them in anyway. She just wanted to solve the issue at hand which it seems like they couldnât do. Calling the mall security over something that is their fault?!? Seriously such a terrible experience.
