I was looking forward to trying Egg Club, but I didn't feel excited about it while consuming the food. I got the cheese corn, and the classic, both with hollandaise. Is the classic supposed to have the slightest hint of curry flavor? I love curry but wasn't expecting it. It was an ever so slight hint but noticable. Perhaps I am mistaking the flavour of the chili sauce, but what I was trying definitely didn't have a flavour like a chili sauce. I found the corn and cheese too drippy, and just wasn't what I've seen online and hoped for flavor wise. I felt The hash brown was great. I was surprised and didn't intend to order one. I am glad I did. I don't know if my visit was at an off time of day since I was the only customer for up to 5 minutes after I ordered, however I will be trying a different location to see if I get the same flavours, and maybe try the pork or lobster sandwich too. I also will try the Egg Club sauce next time and not hollandaise. Overall, I do not need to go back to this specific location again. I am happy that I finally...
Read moreWe’re very regular customers of their downtown and Liberty village locations so it was exciting to hear there’s now a third option that doesn’t involve getting on the Gardiner even if the distance is fairly similar.
This new location is inside the Food District in Square One. It’s easily accessible from the west side parking lot. The store itself is clean and nice and they’re very quick. On a Saturday morning they had 8 people inside which is twice the number of people typically operating the two other locations. So service is quick and staff are nice and friendly. No issues there.
The sandwiches however, while of equal quality and taste (not a surprise given it’s a chain) contain much less of the main ingredients. We got one Guacamolic which had only a spattering of guacamole and a Chipotle Lobster which had even less lobster+corn.
Maybe it’s a one off thing so we’ll visit again and update the review if things...
Read moreEgg Club has been on my must-try list for ages, so I was excited to see they finally opened a spot inside Square One’s Food District. After trying it, I can confirm—it’s absolutely worth the hype. The menu has a nice range of options, from their signature fluffy egg sandwiches to hearty bowls, all at prices that won’t break the bank.
I ordered their bacon & cheese egg sandwich which includes Japanese Milk Bread, Folded Eggs, Thick Cut Bacon, Cheese, Egg Club Sauce, Creamy Chili Sauce.
The presentation alone was beautiful, but the real highlight was the first bite. The eggs were incredibly soft and fluffy, layered between slices of perfectly toasted Japanese milk bread that had just the right hint of sweetness. The thick-cut bacon added a satisfying crunch, while the melted cheese and rich Egg Club sauce tied everything together. A touch of creamy chili sauce added a subtle kick that balanced the...
