Tried this truck out at a food truck festival over at Mel Lastman Square on Canada Day weekend. They definitely had some interesting items on the menu but most of the interesting ones were sold out like the irie burger (jerk chicken, coleslaw and plantains sandwiched b/w two jamaican patties. I was deciding between oxtail and jerk chicken and settled on jerk chicken cuz oxtail is kinda messy to eat when you're just standing and walking at a festival (you really gotta use your hands to suck on the bones). As far as my order goes, the chicken was juicy, flavourful and SO tender. The rice was also very flavourful and not dry as well. The coleslaw that was pictured on the menu and supposed to come with my box did not come in my box. They literally put raw lettuce in and called it a day (see photo). No apology or notice to me that they had run out or anything. Literally just put raw lettuce in my box with no dressing. I would have been able to let the undressed veggies go if they had given me a decent amount of protein but the amount of chicken was unfortunately quite stingy as well and ESPECIALLY at $16 for a box? I felt slightly robbed if I'm being honest. I'm looking at some of these other reviews and it seems like the play is to order from the brick and mortar restaurants cuz they are giving WAYYYY larger portions (you get an actual takeout box and way more meat). Maybe I'll try visiting a brick and mortar location next time.

I decided to try somewhere new & closer to my home versus one of my favourite places. And A) Price was too high for the food I got. B) Jerk chicken was not bad but not exceptional either. The chicken gravy they added was sweet. I didn’t like it at all. C) Their Large containers are the size of a regular size elsewhere. So super small portions. Their small container is half the size of a regular and the size of a side container like 5x5 inches. D) Atmosphere on a hot day, shitty. No A/C and shared space, nothing great about ambiance. If they wana save on hydro and have ppl eat in their small space. They really should consider serving the same size portions as their competitors and same price too! Rice and chicken is cheap nowadays to buy in bulk! If you have no other place to go, check it out chicken was just okay (moist) but super small portions. Not worth the price of $17+ FYI: The first photo is the size of a regular elsewhere. Last pic shows all 3 containers and the smallest is their regular size 2nd photo is the jerk chicken from my favourite place (2 can eat) and the price is same as their small portion. Would be worth it if the price and size of container matched other places! Just saying. Thx

I took my teen with me he ordered a bos burger but also meant to take fries. He took the 1st bite of the burger ( eyes opened wide) "MOM JUICY", that young man savoured his burger and well enjoyed it. The size was average but he ate so fast the pic would not do justice, then we remembered the fries which was only $1.50 more with the burger. "Ok this is different", says my very picky eater. So he shared 1 and I mean 1 fry with me. It was delicious and yes different in a good way. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas. Delicious and flavourful down to the bone. Compliments to chef/server Krystal. She was very soft spoken, pleasant and quick. They share the space with another restaurant. The space was small but clean, there is room for improvement but I am not complaining. BTW we took our meal to go expecting not to eat it all. There was nothing left to take home. 😊

I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich. The chicken was fine, but was underwhelming in a sandwich form because of the bread and topping quality and the ratio of "other stuff" to protien. I would order something different if I could choose again. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because the posted price for the sandwich was $8 on the menu, but I was charged $12+ hst. While the sandwich was being made, I asked why I was being charged more. I was told the posted price on the menu is wrong and that $12 is the correct price. It was too awkward to cancel my order after they already started making the food it so I paid for my meal, but it is unethical and perhaps even unlawful to advertise a price on a menu and then charge a customer more at the cash. Was hoping my opinion would change when I ate the sandwich, but after seeing and eating it, I felt more...
