Extremely Disappointed – Serious Health Concern
I’ve been a long-time fan of Osmow’s and used to enjoy their Chicken on the Rocks regularly. Unfortunately, my most recent visit to this particular location was incredibly disappointing and concerning. I placed an order for four large Chicken on the Rocks for my family.
At the counter, I paid in cash, and I noticed that the same staff member who handled the transaction proceeded to prepare the food without washing her hands. While she did use utensils, this still raised concerns about hygiene.
As I watched her prepare the order, I noticed inconsistencies in the portion sizes—some containers had noticeably less rice, less chicken, and varying amounts of sauce. While frustrating, this wasn’t my main concern.
Once home, my family sat down to eat. That’s when my 9-year-old daughter pulled something from her food and asked, “Is this a leaf?” To our shock, it was a used bandaid. We were horrified. I immediately returned to the restaurant to request a full refund.
When I explained the situation, the manager responded by saying, “This has never happened before—maybe it got in the food on your way home.” That suggestion made things even worse. The food was packed at their location and brought straight home. No one in my household was wearing a bandaid, nor had any open cuts.
To their credit, the manager did issue a full refund and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the damage was already done. This wasn’t just a minor error—it was a serious food safety issue. I documented the incident with a video, but I’m unsure how to upload it to this platform.
I’m writing this not out of malice but to make others aware. This experience has left us deeply disturbed, and we no longer feel comfortable eating at this location. We ended up discarding the food and ordering pizza instead.
I sincerely hope the management takes this as a wake-up call to improve hygiene protocols. A simple apology or acknowledgment would have gone a long way, but unfortunately, I never received any follow-up.
We won’t be returning.

Read moreI'm not usually one to write bad reviews after a bad experience, but I felt obligated to do so after my most recent one.
I've been coming to this Osmows location for over a year now as I work close by and occasionally drop in for lunch. The reason why I've been a customer for so long is because I've definitely had some good experiences here, though I unfortunately recall having more bad ones than good. The quality is inconsistent, and varies depending on who's working. Yes, some of the staff do a great job, but others show they don't care by displaying an attitude as if they don't want to be there, and don't put any care into the product they deliver.
I've had countless times where I order something and ask them to not put specific toppings on, but they do so anyway, making me inconveniently have to pick them off. Other times I've asked for certain toppings that cost an extra 75 cents each, but they never put them on my order even though I'm paying for them.
My most recent experience was by far the worst. I ordered a super shawarma with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green pepper and extra garlic sauce. You'd think that order is easy enough to make right? I paid an extra $2.15 for the cucumber, pepper and extra garlic sauce on top of the $10 for the shawarma. On my shawarma all I got was lettuce, olives, a single cube of cucumber and a bite of chicken at the bottom. It was literally a lettuce sandwich, with olives I had to pick out for nearly $13. None of the toppings I paid extra for were on, and a topping I didn't want was put on.
They've officially lost my business as this was the last time I'm ever coming to this location. There's lots of good food places in the area, and I recommend exploring any of those options before...
Read moreOnly reason why I'm giving this place two stars is because I've been here a couple times before and didn't have a problem until the last time I visited. I will never come back to this location again as the staff were extremely rude and the service was terrible. When I entered the restaurant an older lady asked me what I wanted with attitude. After proceeding to tell her that I wanted the chicken shawarma plate which was flashing on the screen with the name and the image, she took down the wrong order and gave me attitude when she had to change it. Funny thing is someone else took over the order and tried to tell me I couldn't get the chicken shawarma plate which included the wrap, fries and salad because it didn't exist on their menu when it was clearly flashing on their screen the entire time. In my experience even if it didn't exist, which it clearly did (it's my go to order at the Osmows in Streetsville), the restaurant would just make it and I'd pay an extra charge if I had to. Instead all I received was a group of employees arguing with me over putting the chicken shawarma in a wrap instead of just the ingredients when the whole time the image was on their screen and they were promoting it. Obviously the employees at this location are in need of more training and need to actually figure out what is really on their menu and how to properly serve their clientele. At the end of the day they should realize their clientele determines if they make it...
