The Food Amazing and the SERVICE IS VERY POOR!!!!
To all the loyal customers and the OWNER of Shandra’s Roti shop Please read I like to start on the positive note that food is amazing but poor customer service over shadows the total experience.
I like to share my experience with you all and let you all decide on Shadra's Roti shop CUSTOMER SERVICE and there methods of service.
I had placed an order by phone (once a week over $60) from work around 11:40am on a weekday. I was told by the person who took my order to come around 12:20pm to pick the order. ($90. Cost) As I arrived around 12:30pm I noticed a BIG LINE leading out toward the entrance. I’m guessing 10-15 people in line waiting to order food. Myself, on time limit for 30 min lunch from work thought ahead of time by placing my order by phone.
As I arrived and notice the long line and went straight to the cashier and said Im here for my order which I placed on the phone.
The worker from shandra’s roit shop asked me to go to the back to line and wait for my turn. Therefore I asked what was the purpose of me ordering by phone but still finding myself waiting in line for over 20min. If you are reading this, how would you react?
The cashier was rude, not very welcoming, had an attitude and did not appreciating my business, Even thou Im a regular and have recommended to everyone at my work. Word of mouth can go a long way.
TO owner of Shandra’s Roti shop It’s been known to be busy at lunch time and especially during summer, here are few tips to improve your service and expedite your service.
Create a friendly environment and a welcoming environment for CUSTOMERS Knowing you are going to be busy at certain hours, please have better staffing or hire more staff. Your Roti shop is busy and your main goal should be to get customers in and out as fast as you can! MOST IMPORTANTLY,,, Have a new method for customers who have placed their order by phone. Don’t make them wait in Line as its defeats the purpose of ordering food over the phone.
Thanks, Hope to have better...

Ordered after high recommendations. Got the Curry chicken roti wrapped and a curry goat roti separate. 1- flavours spot on. We didnt want it too peppery so we got it on the side. (They charge for pepper fyi) The goat that was separate had a good serving of meat to gravy which was very nice!! fyi. They charge to order separated roti wrapped (everywhere is different, I wasnt told before ordering just saw it on the receipt) 2-ordering and pick up was easy. I asked for what I wanted and I got it, a few things were already out! It was a weekend about an hour and a half before closing and they had it all ready for me. Clearly it was a busy day as they had to keep asking and checking what was available! 3- Portion size and options. It was only 1 size available for the roti. I was a little surprised. It was filling for me. But, for some they may want the option. In comparing to other restaurants that offer roti having the option is nice. Some appetites need more than others, in our house Large is always needed. Id say this was a medium to small and so theyll all be hungry in a few hours. 4- Phone etiquette. I would say have a little more business tone on the phone. This is a business so “hello good morning, afternoon, or hello Shandras” could be in order. I know its homey but we want all to feel welcomed in calling and ordering! I almost hung up because I thought I had the wrong number, as I got “hello!” (Real dry). Everyone who may call may not be Caribbean. Lets make them feel welcomed! 5- Overall id go back to try more. Maybe not anytime soon but if in the area id pop in. I love good Caribbean home cooking with all the flavours of an...
Read moreSo I jus paid and got to my car bag felt light so I looked inside. I ordered buss up shot w oxtail. They didnt have any buss up shot so I opted for the oxtail roti but not wrapped. FYI for anyone going there, if youre set on a certàin item call ahead unkess your wilking to choose something else...tye kady at the front said they hvent had buss up shot for a ehike now . Yet ir remains on the menu(clearly they just wanted yo lure me there lol) Anyway I Paid about 11$ . I got a small round container of oxtail(counted 4 pieces 😐) . And a spoon full of curried potatoes , which I assumed was to go in the roti w the oxtail. The oxtail was amazzzzing , I'm actually going to say the best I've had. A bit more oil and less gravy then I preferred but nonetheless full of flavour, not too spicy or overly sweet like most Jamaican spots :) Potatoes I could hve done without , nothing special . I definitely wish you got more bang for your buck but you know what they say quality over quantity rolls eyes Customer service is cool and collective ..the girl at the front was attentive and patient. I also got two chicken patties and two kola champagne drinks for later ..they didn't hve any beef patties left which was kind if weird because they're open until 7 and it was about 130pm. The chicken ones were pretty good though tasted like curry chicken to be honest. So overall I will definitely be back cause I mean drooool 5 starts for more than pieces of oxtail..maybe I'll get it with rice &peas next time. Might jus be because the option I ordered . Also it's located in sort of an industrial area so be careful those truck drivers are crazy lol a man almost got hit pulling out the lot a truck cane raving out in...
