Warning; long review ahead.
This location is conveniently located for me and I tend to frequent here once sometimes two or three times a daY; so i am very disappointed to say I had a HORRIBLE experience with a group of employees on Monday. I am extending the star rating to a 3 of 5 specifically for employee Jyoti. Jyoti is solely the single employee here who goes out of her way to recognize me and give me "Starbucks esque" treatment by remembering my order. Her customer service abilities go WAY beyond my expectations for a Tim Hortons experience. -
On Monday, I had arrived at thus location aat in the afternoon. I had walked here in the blizzard that took place that day. I sat down proceeded to order my lunch and do my own thing.
In the afternoon after I arrived I tried to call my friend to pick me up and my phone is broken. (I cannot receive all text mwsaages and I cannot be heard during a phone call so its useless) . I asked the employees if I could borrow the store phone to which the supervisor said it was locked away in the office and they don't have a phone (he clearly thought i was an idiot),. Mind you, I have been in a similar predicament at this location and have used their phone those times for local calls. Whatever, I left that alone and went back to minding my buisiness .
I did spend the better part of my day here from 1pm-9:30. However, I kept ordering drinks so that I wasn't just occupying the restaurant as shelter.
In the evening when the flow of traffic slowed the employees were all huddled in by the drive thru window. Getting their attention to order was ridiculously slow as they were strictly socializing. I asked the supervisor (new guy on shift) for the phone and he did hand it to me no questions asked. I then overheard SAM saying oh she asked (insert name of previous supervisor) didn't give it to her when she asked before (laugh) ......she's been here all day since 2pm.....she has been sitting here..... all while giving very judgemental looks my way.
Well, Sam, not that you are required to know ANY of what I am about to share with you but listen. don't judge someone. If you thought to ask me instead, what was going on I guarantee you would not have said anything or judged me.
Before I arrived, my friend and I had a huge fight. HUGE. I walked from their house to this establishment with nothing but my keys and my phone. No wallet, no bags or anything. and was waiting for them to cool off. As I am trying to contact them for a couple hours they tell me they are on their way. So I waited. After an hour of waiting, I went to call them again- my phone was dead and your friend didn't let me use the stores. I waited longer. Finally someone had a charger and I got my phone running again-
I learned that my close friend was in an accident- their car spun off the highway and into a ditch. So after an accident a whole sequence of events transpires and I had to wait to for them to come back to get me-.
Why didn't I walk home? I actually don't live close to your location- I was at my friends
Why didn't I uber or transit? Well if you must know, I'm not financially doing so hot and I didn't have any bags or my wallet.
Call someone to get me? I don't have anyone to rely on for that.
So, I used your shop for shelter and I supported it through making purchases. I Didn't bother anyone and kept to myself. I am curious why I was judged? It was the most uncomfortable experience and when I asked you about it you were sarcastic and weird. My day was already bad and you made it worse. I don't know if it's because I wasn't dressed in a suit or more feminine clothing or mature looking clotbes? Maybe because I didn't style my hair or decided not to put makeup on? Whatever it was- you should learn how not to judge someone.
What you SHOULD do: Find Jyoti and learn something from her and wish that you can be half the person she is.
Girl who stayed from 1-9:30 in the store and usually doesn't spend time...
Read morecustomer service and management cannot be any worse. I wanted to provide a timeline of what happened today - a story of how a simple order of 10-pack timbits ended up taking an entirety of 25-30 mins.
(alert: this is a long review)
it had been a long work day for me where I just wanted to quickly grab some timbits at Tim Hortons as a sweet treat for myself. I had to stand and wait for 10 mins until my turn to order, where before me there was only one person in the process of ordering. It seemed like a similar problem was happening to the person before me, where the worker lady kept confusing the customer's order and it was a lot of back-and forth communication/clarification.
it was finally my turn to order. I said my order along the lines of "could I please get the 10-pack timbits? except for the old fashioned plain, please give me 2 for each type."
after I ordered and paid, I stood and waited for my order for a long time (approx. 10-15 mins) until I got confused why it took so long. There was around 4-5 workers in total and the store was really empty with only 1-2 orders before me. (perhaps the drive-through was busy?)
I reminded one of the workers that I was still waiting for my 10-pack timbit order. The worker did not apologize to me or anything, and only turned around and repeated, in almost yelling volume, to another worker to work on my order. It was obvious that they had either forgotten about my order, or something in their managements have messed up. I already started feeling offended and unsatisfied.
they finally seemed to be taking care of my order. The same worker lady whom I previously ordered my timbits to - she walked up to me and asked me once again how I would like to have the 10 timbits. I repeated it again and made sure my voice was loud enough for her to hear me properly - "except for the old fashioned plain, please give me 2 for each type."
the worker lady started grabbing the 10-timbits into the timbits box and eventually handed them to me - I was speechless when I saw that in the box there was around 6 old fashion plain and 4 old fashion glazed.....she had completely messed up my order. I had to once again clarify my order. I tried to re-word it by saying exactly what timbits to grab: "no, I meant except for the old fashioned plain, I want 2 for each type. So, 2 for chocolate, 2 for glazed, 2 for birthday.....etc."
in the duration of this, the worker lady repeated my order at least 3-4 times to clarify which ones. When it seemed like she finally understood what I meant, she handed the box to me again, and guess what? ....In the box, there was 6 old fashioned glazed, 2 honey dipped, and 2 birthdays.
I was completely speechless and I had wasted enough time to solely wait for a 10-pack timbits. My patience was long gone and I just said to the worker lady, "it's okay, I'll just take this" since I had to leave and go. This horrible interaction had completely ruined my mood in which all I ever wanted was just a quick 5-min order of 10 timbits to enjoy.
Overall, the experience was just completely unprofessional, especially when the workers kept asking back-and-forth to confirm the order with me. It seemed like they did NOT care how many times they needed to confirm my order with me. This is not my first time experiencing similar occasions like this where they completely messed up my order.
Please - what's been going on Tim Hortons? The level of quality and professionalism of Tim Hortons several years ago had completely gone. I want the old Tim...
Read moreBeen a customer of over 5 years at this location; never changed my order never gave trouble, tipped when i could. Long review and I’ve switched to the gas station location next to them as they are more understanding.
In an effort to help save on footprints and do my part in not contributing to pollution, I bought a tumbler at Tim Hortons hoping to use and not only save the company cups, but also save the environment extra waste (as i buy this on a daily basis). Mind you, the tumbler was a cold-drinks one that I bought at a different location Tim Hortons (near my workplace). When I bought I’d asked the manager (who was taking my order at the time) if I could get my drink in it to which he responded “of course, no problem at all.” Today, I went to this location (which is my usual location that I frequented for over 5 years), and I ordered my usual and asked for them to use my tumbler. The lady responded they didn’t have an option like that for cold drinks. I didn’t want a discount, i wanted to not contribute to our economy’s growing footprint. So i asked if they could just use it and explained to her that I didn’t want to waste, and I’d already had it done just yesterday. She agreed and I drove up to the window. When I got there, the man who was cashing me out made a point out of it to warn me that they will not do this kind of thing for me “next time.” Once again, I told him I literally got this done yesterday by a manager who was more than happy to do so. I tried to explain to him it was something I was trying to do so that I don’t waste...all the while he was talking over me and basically shutting down anything I had to say. He continued to say “yeah well we won’t do it next time,” I thanked him and told him there won’t be a next time. To which he responded “k.” It’s an utter lack of manners, and complete dismissal to anything I had to say. I truly liked you guys, but to claim to be environmentally friendly and to claim to always strive for customer satisfaction is sadly not the case. I was very disappointed today, as I thought that things you stood for were very different to the things you actually delivered on. And today was the first day I’ve ever changed my order. Wish this location the best, but I also wish that you guys will deliver on what you stand for. Big corporations like Tim Hortons have embedded themselves into our communities, but they hold huge responsibilities when it comes to contributing to pollution. I wish your franchise was more aware of the environmental issues the rule you are forcing your employees to carry out is causing. I also wish your franchise had some basic training on how to listen when someone else is talking (even a firm “no” after I was done talking would have been better than cutting me off and speaking on top of me to get what he wanted to say out). As a customer of 5 years I want to thank you, but I am very...
