On the 19th of January 2024, I had gone to this club with my coworkers for a birthday party. We came around 10PM and it was quite empty at the bar, but the ambiance was great. It is very cozy, but it may be small for others whilst the music was way too loud for the size of the room.
Then, at 11PM, the club opened downstairs. We made our way there as we had booked a booth for the birthday boy and we had even bought the 450$ drink package. The size of the club downstairs is quite small, so if you do not enjoy small spaces or if you’re claustrophobic, I highly don’t recommend. It was very difficult to move around…
The booth was not comfortable. They were not couches, they were more like pieces of wood with fabric and nails. As for the package, it was okay but slightly disappointing. For the price it was, I believe we could’ve done better just ordering from the bar. Also, it was extremely cold. It was as if there was no heating and most, if not everyone, had hoodies and sweaters on.
Both DJs are very lazy. They did not mix at all and there was no freestyle - no scratching at all. This is my opinion, but the music was not that great. At the club, you could physically see he wasn’t doing anything, not even act or try to hype up the crowd. He was just sitting, looking at his MacBook pokerfaced.
I must also add that the club staff are very rude. Our waitress was very gentle, so she was good but the rest, complete disrespect. My friends and I were not even extremely drunk or anything, but we were still treated as if we were dumb or something. One of my friends didn’t know he couldn’t vape inside and was told so by a staff member. And yet, that same staff member started vaping around us and drinking… he was security. At around 2:30, they were already prepping to close. Which, I understand as we were approaching closing hours but at around 2:45, one of my coworkers who is also a DJ went up to ask the club DJ about which console he was using but was quickly brushed away as if he wasn’t good enough to talk to him and then was only told “just follow me on Insta”. And, we were being told to get out… not just “It’s time to go” but practically to screw off. My friend had ordered shots at around the same time and one bouncer said sure, but not even 5 mins later (we didn’t get our drinks yet), he told her to leave.
After, I had went upstairs to go get my coat and two bouncers came up to me. Bouncer A asked for my ticket to get my coat right in front of Bouncer B. When I gave it, he left but as soon as he left, Bouncer B told me to screw off?? Completely disrespectful… he saw me give my ticket.
Towards the end, my group and I were about to leave but some of my friends got into an argument with some of the staff because they were defending themselves from their rude behaviours. With the constant “Screw off”, “Get out” and such, one staff eventually started calling one of our girl friends “my love” and blowing her kisses as he’s insulting her. Then, the staff started ganging up on us and actually pushed us out. PHYSICALLY.
Overall, disgusting place. The staff abuse of their power even though they are worse than some of the people inside. We had made them over 600$+ of profit and 100$+ of tips, and we were treated like complete garbage. Also, some of the people partying were obviously minors…...
Read moreTerrible service and rude staff. We (2 people) showed up at 5pm on Friday November 18, and there were maybe 5 people in the bar. After waiting at the bar for 10 minutes a bartender finally came to see what we wanted. He did not look impressed that we were speaking English amongst ourselves, even if we spoke French to him. We advised him that we were going to be a group of 15-20 people and wanted to sit by the window. We told him we'd be ordering many drinks and food. The group was set to arrive for 5:30. We tried to open a tab with the bartender who was very rude to us and told us that only the waitress could open a tab and he didn't care what we wanted. After waiting for 10 minutes at the table we went back to the bar. The bartender was laughing at us for having waited so long because apparently the waitress does not start before 6pm. We told him that he never told us that and ordered 2 drinks. We once again asked him if we could leave him our credit card to avoid having to settle receipts every time given the fact there were very few people in the bar. He was extremely rude to us and said "Listen to me, you are holding up the line (there was no line) and i told you to pay now." So we paid. We did not leave a very good tip because we tip on service and it must be earned. When we returned to the bar for a second drink he REFUSED to serve my boyfriend because we tipped badly and were "costing him money." He said we must pay in cash. I went back to the bar and asked him what kind of nonsense this is because tipping is optional. He was once again extremely rude to my face and kept calling me "my dear." I told him I was not "his dear" and then he told us to leave and not come back if we were not satisfied. Which is exactly what we did. We took our party of 15 people to a different bar on St-Denis. Never have we ever felt so unwelcomed in bar...
Read moreHorrible bouncers. Forced us into a fight. Someone bumped into and pushed my buddy several times so the next time he pushed him off of him, and he ran to bouncers. Suddenly every one of us is getting kicked out without explanation. We’re pushed to the street where some guy starts yelling at my friend and trying to fight him, also claiming he works for security. As I try to talk the guy down and ask another bouncer to do something about it (they stand there and do nothing), I get grabbed from behind and some guy tries to fight me. Luckily I was able to defend myself and subdue the guy, but security literally started a fight and several of our group got jumped. Very unprofessional and dangerous. Cuts all over my face, other friend punched and another friend with bleeding hands from being thrown...
