BAR St Laurent Frappé — Restaurant in Montreal

My co-driver and I were up in Canada. It was his first time in the country, and my first time in Quebec. Being the nerd I am, I decided to check out the local bar scene and explore the area. Out of all the bars we visited, this place was the rudest! The bartender would ignore our requests, and when he did finally acknowledge us, he spoke down to us. It took forever to get drinks because he seemed only concerned with the local patrons.

The bar wasn’t crowded, so I’m not sure what the issue was. And before you think we might have been loud or disrespectful, it was actually the opposite. Normally, we’d blend in with the crowd. But on this day, this particular bartender seemed to have a chip on his shoulder for some reason.

While in Quebec, I’ve noticed a lot of hostility towards English speakers. At first, I thought maybe it was racism, but my best friend, who is Black, received the same treatment. Being an American who loves Canada and its people—and a cultural enthusiast—this will probably be the last time I visit and spend my hard-earned...

Was looking for somewhere to watch a WNBA game. My friends and I went to Champs first, thinking that surely a lesbian bar would throw it on the tv - Nope! Only playing men's sports and wouldn't put the game on because it would distract from an event they were hosting. Oh well. So we walked down the street and found this place that had a chill vibe and looked like a nice place to have a few drinks. For fun, I asked the bartender if there was any way he could put the wnba game on. We didn't even know which channels were broadcasting it. This guy and another worker spent a solid 20 minutes trying to find the game for us - scanning channels - and once they did, we were able to watch it on the tv right in front of us. Had a great time. Will definitely...

So this is tricky. Apart from the girl behind the bar , anyone else is useless in there . From the guy behind the bar to the busboy I honestly do not know how they work there. Busboy grabs drinks when are not finished yet ( ok, even if I have half a finger left I think I am entitled to finish it, no ?) and the barman is a lunatic serving wrong drinks and when you talk to him , he is on another planet. There is no food, so their only job is to serve a drink, decently. Not capable of doing so and further more...not paying attention to what is left in your drink , bottle or cocktail. It happened with both. The place has a terrace on the roof. Verdict...
