Read moreThis is very honest review and I mean no hate by it, it’s just how bad the experience was.
Restaurant is too small to accommodate more than 20 people so you’d have to sit on the bar most likely which is uncomfortable.
Dumplings’ filling has a very weird taste, feels unseasoned, highly processed and the lingering aftertaste is awful without forgetting that it had no taste of chicken or mushrooms and that the fried ones were frozen and premade. ( tried both, soup and fried)
Service is horrible, the cashier ( the old man ) left me waiting 3 times, whenever I try to speak to him, he’s just busy on some papers, screaming orders or doing whatever & leaving me just standing there casually. ( he most likely does it often since he’s casual about it )
Communication is hard because all the staff barely communicates in english & french.
Before leaving the same old man asks me why I paid 47$ for two dumpling plates and one beer and didn’t leave a tip as if that wasn’t already slightly overpriced and he keeps insisting that I tip even though the service was horrible, very shameless.
Last note: the experience is so horrible & I never wanna come back here, the people leaving 5 stars for that frozen and premade tasteless food are so delusional they must have never tasted any Italian, Spanish, French cuisine to figure out that the food there...
Read moreI have a severe peanut allergy. If I eat peanuts, I would go into anaphylactic shock and I could very well die.
I had asked the waitress (lady at the front?) if the rice balls had peanuts. She said no with such confidence, I believed she knew her food well and I trusted her. I took ONE bite of a rice ball, and I immediately went into anaphylactic shock. I asked the lady again if there were peanuts in the rice balls. She went into the back and came back with the packaging for the rice balls. Lo and behold, in the ingredients list, were peanuts.
We hurriedly took our dumplings to-go, paid, and rushed to the closest hospital. I honestly cannot understand how a restaurant owner/manager can make such a careless mistake. I feel like if someone disclosed that they had a severe allergy, I would double check the ingredients regardless if I was sure or not about them. And I honestly cannot believe at the lack of urgency when it came to payment and help (we had to chase after multiple people in order to get a to-go box and to be able to pay).
I spent my evening at the hospital, I was eventually able to eat and I had the sweet pork dumplings. They were good.
Management, please double check the ingredients of your food if a customer discloses an allergy. I could have...
