Our recent dine-in experience at Bawarchi Express in Montreal was nothing short of delightful, showcasing authentic Indian flavors and generous portions that truly justify the price.

We started with Appetizers, since we wanted to eat main course heavy. So, we ordered Gobi Manchurian and asked them to make it spicy. It was very delicious and mouth watering, garnished with sesame seeds and crispy fried from outside (soft inside) perfectly well coated in manchurian sauces.

Mainciurse began with the Paneer Tikka Curry (spicy), and it was an instant hit. The paneer was fresh and perfectly cooked, absorbing the robust medley of Indian spices. The curry’s heat was well-balanced—enough to satisfy spice lovers without overpowering the palate. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the portion size was more than satisfying.

Next came the Veg Korma and Palak Paneer—two curries that exceeded expectations. The Veg Korma was creamy, mildly spiced, and loaded with fresh vegetables, making every bite rich and comforting. The Palak Paneer stood out with its velvety spinach base and tender paneer chunks, capturing the essence of homestyle Indian cooking while still feeling indulgent.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Bawarchi Paneer Ghee Kaju Biryani. Aromatic, buttery, and layered with cashew richness, it instantly transported us to the streets of Hyderabad. Every grain of rice was perfectly cooked, infused with ghee and fragrant spices, and the addition of paneer gave it a satisfying, hearty twist. This dish is one we’ll remember for a long time—and one we’d recommend without hesitation to any biryani enthusiast.

Overall, Bawarchi Express delivered an authentic, flavorful, and satisfying Indian dining experience. From the spice-balanced curries to the unforgettable biryani, every dish showcased attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

The employees over there were so helpful and cooperative that even the kitchen is closed but we had palak paneer left. We wanted to order bread (naan) but she politely explained us that tandoor is already cool down but tawa roti is available then we ordered Tara roti. Garlic naan, Tawa roti both were good. I would suggest everyone to try...

If you're craving authentic Hyderabadi cuisine in Montreal, look no further than Bawarchi. As regular patrons, we find ourselves returning twice or thrice a month, and each visit feels like a delightful trip back home to India.

Cuisine and Taste Bawarchi offers a wide range of dishes, but their Hyderabadi biryani stands out the most. It has the rich, aromatic flavors and perfect spice balance that truly capture the essence of traditional Hyderabadi cooking. Recently, we ventured into their Indo-Chinese offerings, and it was a revelation. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and now have become my new favorites.

Ambiance The ambiance at Bawarchi is warm and inviting. During the summer, they offer outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, which adds a pleasant touch to the dining experience. The interior is cozy, making it an ideal place for both casual meals and special occasions.

Service The service at Bawarchi is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to make your dining experience pleasant. On our latest visit, we were served by Vinisha, whose humble and kind demeanor made our meal even more enjoyable.

Overall Experience Bawarchi Montreal never fails to deliver on quality and taste. Whether you're in the mood for a comforting plate of biryani or exploring their diverse menu, you're sure to leave satisfied. The great food, pleasant ambiance, and excellent service keep us coming back.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Bawarchi Restaurant offers a delightful taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

The interior decor was simple yet elegant, exuding a warm and inviting ambiance.

The atmosphere is pleasant enough.

The menu features a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians. From the aromatic biryanis to the rich curries and tandoori specialties, there's something to please every palate.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their baby corn manchurian, and panner 555. These two starters were awesome. Specially i love the Baby Corn Manchurian. The crispy taste is too good!!

Then after I ordered Panner Tikka Masala with Tandoori Kulcha and it was very nice… Must try it

At last I ordered Nawab Vegetarian Biryani.. that was also nice. The quantity was perfect for 5-7 people.

The flavors were authentic and reminiscent of the traditional Indian dishes especially from South Indian spices!!

The service at Bawarchi Indian Restaurant was attentive and prompt. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer recommendations based on personal preferences. They ensured that I had everything I needed throughout my meal, creating a pleasant dining experience.

In terms of pricing, Bawarchi offers reasonable rates for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It's a restaurant that provides good value for money, especially for those craving a taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

Overall, Bawarchi Indian Restaurant is a reliable choice for those seeking delicious Indian food in a...

I was really looking forward to trying Bawarchi Montreal and even took an excited photo with the food, hoping for a great experience — but unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the expectation. We ordered: • Nawabi Paneer Biryani • Kareepakku Egg Biryani • Chilli Paneer • Gobi Manchurian (specifically requested with gravy) Food Ratings: • Kareepakku Egg Biryani – ★★★☆☆ (6/10) The portion size was smaller than usual, and the quality has definitely dropped compared to previous visits. • Nawabi Paneer Biryani – ★★☆☆☆ (5/10) Disappointing. It was bland and unexpectedly sweet — no real spice or depth of flavor. • Chilli Paneer – ★☆☆☆☆ (3/10) The paneer was hard and chewy, and the dish leaned towards a sweet flavor, which didn’t work at all. • Gobi Manchurian – ★★☆☆☆ (5/10) It tasted good, but I specifically asked for the gravy version and still received the dry one — a basic instruction that was overlooked. Service: The service was slow and disorganized. We had to ask multiple times just to get water (waited over 15 minutes), and even at the end, we had to repeatedly ask for the bill — only to be told to go to the counter. No printed receipt was given, and they subtly asked if we could pay in cash, which felt unprofessional. Overall Rating: 2.5/5 While I went in with a lot of excitement (and even a photo to show it!), the food and service didn’t live up to the hype. There’s potential here, but unless they seriously improve both quality and hospitality, I don’t see myself returning soon.
